I didn’t have breakfast, I went for the morning wellness, swimming, sauna, jacuzzi and gym. The facilities were clean.

Great hotel, we had good time there. Great staff.

Perfect stay. I did not expect breakfast included so it was a nice surprise.it was a good selection. I used the gym, pool, jacuzzi and sauna and it was not busy. We used the park and ride bus which was a cross the road from the hotel when we went to the city centre which was £2.50 return.

Good sized room, overall needs updating, but breakfast was pretty good.

All of the staff were friendly and polite. Breakfast was well stocked and lots of availability. The room was cleared daily and the bag of chocolate and satsumas hanging on the door on Christmas Day was a lovely surprise

The rooms are big and lovely but limited to where you can go for food and transportation.

We booked this hotel specifically to use the pool but it was closed, think we should’ve been informed of that as it’s a big selling point. The corridor outside of our room had a bad smell on both days. Staff were nice though, helpful and friendly and the room was clean.

Staff were lovely. Hotel room was dirty room 114. Still had other guests shower gels empty bottles and shower sponge. Empty loo roll Toilet paper on floor Bed had hairs in.

Disappointing Stay We stayed at this Holiday Inn Group (IHG) hotel over the weekend and were unfortunately very disappointed with our experience. Upon arrival, we were informed that the swimming pool was out of order. The main reason we chose this hotel was specifically because it had a pool, so this was extremely frustrating. We were told the pool had been closed for several days, and had we been made aware of this in advance, we would have cancelled our booking. We swim daily due to arthritis, so we had no choice but to travel to the local swimming baths instead, which was very inconvenient. In addition, there was an extremely unpleasant smell in the hallway, particularly from around room 300 onwards and extending past the 400s. We were staying in room 409, and the smell was very off-putting throughout our stay. Overall, this was not the experience we expected from an IHG hotel, and we feel the lack of communication regarding the pool and the unpleasant conditions in the hallway significantly affected our stay.

Booked 2 rooms in july for December xmas treat. Hotel fully booked so couldn't change rooms...one room was booked as a double and they gave us a twin. The family room smelt awful of damp and mould and there was mould on the walls and celling and every thing felt damp the bedding, Towels and in the air we stayed in 336. We had my 4 year old with us and my partner felt ill having a cold on his chest.

Bathroom door needs replaced.. staff exceptional. Could not do enough for us, Amenities were acceptable, but room needs up graded. Overall enjoyed our stay. Breakfast very good.

Reason for choosing hotel, swimming pool, was closed with general comment of 'maintenance' from receptionist. Would have been nice if discount or bar voucher had been offered as compensation. Windows in room were both open, presume due to smoking of previous guests. Air con heating not working so room never warmed up after closing the window. Only one socket at side of bed to charge our phones. No ceiling light so bedroom felt gloomy despite every light being on. Long wait to check out 'need to check your room doesn't have extra charges to pay'. They have my credit card if there had been but there weren't any. Not staff fault but hotel was disappointing.
