Langtry Manor Hotel

Nice room, clean and everything automated. Only quibble is that on booking I asked for twin beds (this being noted as being available) and even checked with and had it confirmed later by the hotel that this was noted - but I did not get this. Disappointed by that frankly.

We stayed in the Kings Room and it was amazing, jacuzzi bath, 4 poster bed, balcony loved it

What a lovely stay. With balcony. WiFi very good. Lovely breakfast in the sister hotel across the road. Comfy bed.

Room was shabby and tired with one window pane missing and inadequately covered with a piece of board, drawer handle missing, radiator cover coming away, dead light bulb, partially blocked wash basin, mirrors extensively desilvered, etc. Website was misleading. There is no reception, no restaurant and no bar, although a good breakfast was available in the nice hotel across the road but no other meals. We had to brave heavy rain to get there though. There was also no housekeeping during a three-night stay although bottled water was replenished on the last day.

Hotel and room were very clean. But the missing star is because the room had no shower.

Very nice but one window pane was broken so very cold bedroom

We arrived to a freezing cold room and a musty smell. We kept our coats on for a couple of hours while we turned on a portable heater. I tried to call reception to ask if we could change room but could not reach anyone. I then tried to call Hotels.com to ask the same question again could not reach anyone. There was nobody around it is just rooms to rent rather than what i would call a hotel. No bar nowhere to get food. We went out to find somewhere to eat. On arriving back the room was still freezing also the bathroom. We made the decision to leave and go home. I'm very disappointed with this booking and would certainly not recommend it or ever return ourselves.

Absolutely steeped in history

The room was filthy. Big black stains on the carpet. The dust and cobwebs everywhere. The room has not been cleaned and dusted for a very long time. The sink in the bathroom had a white residue underneath. The curtains were not fitted properly and were hanging in an odd way from the rails. The shower door or the shower cubical will not close and was coming off the rail and just hanging on the top wheels. Absolute disgrace. They have ruined our romantic evening. I cried and asked to check out but they told me to contact expedia. We were very tired and decided to stay after all. They offered 100 pounds refund and free breakfast which we exepted but then evening was ruined and we were very upset. Whrn we were talking to the on duty manager the gentlemen was rude and argumentative . we are really in shock how they can let out a property like this. Disgraceful. They are disgrace to the industry.

No reception, no bar, no restaurant no people

Room was comfortable but carpet needed cleaning, cobwebs on ceiling and a dirty cup. We would prefer a staffed reception and maybe a bar/food in the hotel.

Booked the King’s Suite as promoted as the best room and I wanted to treat my husband. One pillowcase was missing on arrival; a mass of cobwebs was directly above the corner uplight; dirty glass with toothpaste ‘dribble’ in bathroom on arrival; one wall light broken; had to go to another hotel nearby for breakfast although this wasn’t clear on booking; there are no staff on site so I had to get pillowcase myself from sister hotel … the room was not prepared properly for our arrival so everything felt substandard … housekeeper apologised and sorted issues quickly but a disappointing experience …

Had to go across the road for breakfast. Bath wasn’t clean….plug hole was dirty. Parking was good.

We had an upgrade to our room for our anniversary, this made the stay really special.

Amazing hotel and the Presidential room was out of this world

When booking, you have the option to leave a message with any requests you may have... which was ignored. I emailed 5 times, got 1 email back I called 5 times, and no one answers. I didn't like the impersonal touch.

Fab stay lovely property with huge character be another level if it was updated but still great

Window in room did not lock, producing a security risk. Bath in advert showed jets, bath was historically not in use for that function. Area around hotel externally was obviously high crime and intimidating. Hotel itself was "o.k" but no bar no food and no interaction Spot lights in ceiling were hanging down giving a paranoid effect of being watched. Minor maintenance jobs not cleared

An unusual place in that it was totally unstaffed, but the access arrangements were fine and the room was comfortable, extremely quiet and exceptionally well provided for. The bed was incredibly comfortable. There was nothing to dislike at all and I would definitely return, but it's a shame that with such nice facilities, ie lounge, bar, etc. the areas are not used
