Cute spot, good location. Close to a bus stop, grocery store and airport(Gatwick). For check-in, you’re required to call using whatsup (which we didn’t have) so thankfully someone was around so we could use their phone to contact front desk staff.

I wasn't aware before booking that this hotel isn't staffed 24 hours a day. When we arrived, we had to call a phone number, and we were then told to collect our room keys from the reception desk. This wasn't something I was expecting.
There is also no lift, so if you have mobility issues or heavy luggage, I'd strongly recommend requesting a ground-floor room. We had to climb several flights of very creaky stairs, and the layout of the building was slightly confusing.
The biggest issue was the room itself. It was unbearably hot, and after calling the hotel to ask if they had a fan, we were simply told they didn't. No alternative was offered, such as moving us to another room. It was so hot that we genuinely considered leaving and sleeping at the airport instead.
Although this is a budget hotel, that shouldn't mean it's poorly maintained. The room felt very old and run-down, with peeling paint, mould in the bathroom, and furniture that had clearly seen better days. Budget accommodation can still be clean, comfortable, and well maintained, but unfortunately that wasn't the case here.
Thankfully, we were only there for a few hours before an early flight and left as soon as we could. I wouldn't choose to stay here again and, given the choice, I'd rather spend the night at the airport.
The only real positive was the location. There is a bus stop nearby with excellent transport links to the airport, which made getting to our flight quick and easy.

Hi again there,
When we arrived at night at around 11:30 p.m., there was no one available to check us in. We spent approximately 35–40 minutes trying to find someone, walking around the property and even going upstairs and knocking on doors before finally noticing the check-in instructions. After a long day of delayed flights and train travel, this was a very stressful start to our stay.
Once we eventually checked in using WhatsApp, we were directed to a room that was extremely hot and uncomfortable. It was difficult to breathe, and despite requesting a fan, none was provided. We had planned to get a few hours of rest before continuing our journey, but because of the heat and discomfort, we were unable to sleep and ended up leaving the hotel at around 6:00 a.m. We stayed for only about six hours. Even in the morning no one was there for checking out!
Considering the confusion during check-in, the lack of assistance upon arrival, and the uncomfortable room conditions, I requested a refund, but it appears that my request was declined.
I kindly asked them to reconsider and offer some form of compensation, even if only partial. We hope this experience could be resolved positively, as we would have had much rather leave with a good impression than a disappointing one.

No AC!!!! Was like in Owen! Couldn’t sleep all night! Asked receptionist for extra little fan they even didn’t have that!!!! Don’t book here during the hot months!

Helpful reception. Had last minute room change as lock didn’t work. Windows didn’t fully close in bathroom in new room. Easy on site parking and functional for airport at the price.
All pretty tired and could do with a spruce up really.

Missold hotel, more like a hostel. Old building no staff available with main door left open when we arrived leaving people very vulnerable. Lex the member of staff at this place lied to Expedia team, telling them that we checked in but hadn't checked out knowing that we had refused to stay there and had asked for a refund which they are refusing! We ended up staying at Gatwick all night until our flight. Not a great start to our holiday. Reviews are questionable. DO NOT STAY THERE!!

TOP FLOOR ROOM WITH NO FIRE ESCAPE INFORMATION ON BACK OF DOOR is, surely, ILLEGAL. There was no information about anything in the room itself. TV signal was breaking up making it unwatchable most of the time, handset had no cover on the battery compartment, dangerous nail was sticking out of cabinet, shower curtain was dirty, glass shelf missing above washbasin, bed drapes had dirty marks, just needed to go through a washing machine. It's a pity because otherwise the room was spacious and clean, the bed was comfortable, and Adam the manager was really friendly and helpful. A small investment in updating/maintaining facilities and putting up signage, and this would be a really nice place to stay.

Great location for Gatwick airport. Staff lovely and communications good. Room door lock was standard for B&B so we put our heaviest suitcase behind it to feel a little more secure. The front door was wide open when we left and no staff manning the reception which intruders could take advantage of. However the price and location of our stay was good.

I had contact with the hotel through Expedia and via email before we arrived advising when we would arrive at the hotel. I had received an acknowledgement, but still got a phone call six hours before our arrival asking if we were happy with our room.
I asked if there was a fridge in the room and was told there wasn’t, so we took a cool box. There was a fridge in the room.
I didn’t think to ask if there was a hairdryer in the room. There wasn’t. I would have been happy to take my own if I’d known! What hotels don’t have hairdryers?
It was perfectly adequate for our needs, and we will use it again, and I’ll pack a hairdryer.

Amazing value for a stay so close to and with an easy quick route to Gatwick Airport. Large house,showing its' sign of age in parts BUT what matters were perfect....generous sized room and bathroom, kettle and ample supply of tea, coffee etc plus biscuits, TV, spacious parking, petrol and sainsbury opposite. Despite the main road location it was very quiet inside. Would definitely choose again!.
