Novotel York Centre

Nice clean hotel in a good location. We stayed in the superior queen suite and unfortunately our room had an adjoining door to the room next to us. Our neighbours were having a gathering past midnight and you could here everyone taking and laughing as clear as day through the door. I asked reception if there was anything they could do and although they attempted to rectify by asking the guests to settle down. When the music went off, the conversation continued and still was too distracting to get shut eye. I had a long drive the next day so was disappointed to get less than an hour's sleep.

2 night stay, very comfortable rooms, easy walking distance from all points of interest and 5 minutes drive to outlet

Great hotel with fabulous location

Greeted with a smile upon arrival, the hotel was clean and there was ample parking. The staff were great, warm and friendly, nothing too much trouble. The room was very spacious, the bed was comfy and everyone had a great nights sleep. Breakfast was god quality with lots of choice, always greeted with a friendly smile by the servers. The hotel was on the river bank and within easy reach of the city. All in all we had a great time and will be back. Thanks 😊

Great Hotel, within easy walking distance of York City Centre – 10-12 mins max.Room was very clean and spacious with a good-sized TV (55Inch) and a good selection of teas and coffees provided . Bar was clean and well stocked , good selection of fines and beers and reasonable prices. Plenty of onsite parking @ £17 per night – not cheap, but not extortianate for a major tourist spot like York . Will go again.

Nice hotel within walking distance to York city centre. Good pool and sauna.

The stay was excellent apart from the customer service on check in. The receptionist was very unhelpful and not welcoming..as first time visitors it did put us off.

Great hotel within walking distant of city centre, especially nice walk along the river.

The hotel location was great with a short walk into York. It's a shame that there was a need to charge an additional £17.50 for parking per day when we had spent £250 booking 2 rooms. Plus our complementary drinks vouchers never arrived in our inboxes but the hotel was pleasant and we had a nice stay.

Well decorated, nice atmosphere and good price. Easy walk into the City centre and breakfast was excellent.

Within walking distance to tourist attractions.

It took 3 room changes until we were given a room that resembled what we had booked and everything worked in it. When retrieving our left luggage the receptionist bashed out bags which had delicate items in them against the counter.

A bit of a disappointing stay. Check in is a ridiculous 4pm onwards. Shower out of order so had to shower sat in a tiny bath with a hand held shower! Toilets in the foyer overflowing, car parking £16 a night and if you want to check in early that will be another £30! To be honest there are much better hotels and for the price the Novotel is it's a bit poor.

I wouldn’t stay at this property again - the sofa beds for kids isn’t good it’s an Ikea style fold down very uncomfortable - holes in bed sheets.
