Roomnot serviced during the stay so dirty cups, no beds made and towels left. Free breakfast is a bonus. Beds are very hard.

This place is amazing lovely staff. Very caring and understanding! They go out the way to help you.Just normal not stuck up in anyway! Maybe a basic place , but the staff make it! x Brilliant staff, reception staff and housekeeping staff! Cant fault them ! X

Wonderful hotel. Staff are very friendly and welcoming and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable.They know they have drivers that don't have blue badges park in disabled bays but they have a way that only blue badge holders use them which was a lovely touch. Breakfast was a lovely. A nice choice of cereal, toast with spreads and tea and coffee. What can you ask for, a free breakfast. What a perfect way to start the day

A really cosy room with welcoming receptionist. Had a great nights sleep and a simple tasty continental breakfast ready for our journey onwards.thanks

Room was okay. No hand held shower or wifi availability first floor at the end of the hall which was disappointing.

Staff were very happy, welcoming and polite. The room was ok, but ageing, especially the en-suite, which was very old and rundown. Although the place was appropriate for the evening, I would not stay there again.

The Redwing was reasonably priced it was clean and tidy and close to where we needed to be Great value for money with the added bonus of a continental breakfast Would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay again in the future

It was an amazing experience, enjoyed my 3 nights. What a quite place.

I liked the fact i could bring my assistance dogs i was able to have a ground floor room. Also it was nice to have a self serve continental breakfast. Well done staff.

We wanted some where easy to find within reach of friends that we were visiting. On arrival we were treated very well, friendly and professional. We were recommended several places to eat . The room very clean and everything worked. One mattress was not too comfortable but we turned it and all was fine. The breakfast was perfectly adequate and we had our fill.. strange to think this once stood alongside The Great North Road in it's heyday.. this is not cheap its great value for money and has much to recommend it.

Even though this property was tired, a bit old and not luxurious! The staff were excellent, the rooms were very clean, everything you needed was in the room, shower was small but powerful and hot, beds clean n comfy, furniture although old was not broken at all, breakfast was a good range of cereal, toast, jams, orange juice and hot drinks but free, WiFi was free, parking was free, and all for £48 booked it 2 days before!! If you're looking for basic of basics then this is ok Doesnt explain the breakfast as continental. Rooms smell a bit funky. Veey outdated

Very nice people rooms were very clean. Altogether well worth the money breakfast was lovely
