Sonachan House

The owner was really friendly, the family room was great for a few day's stay. We were really happy with everything and felt this was one of the best guest houses we've ever stayed in.

I contacted the property hosts before booking as I would be arriving late and they were very helpful and accommodating. I also received check in details over text so great to refer back to on arrival with a fried brain from a long drive. The room was clean and comfortable with sufficient tea and coffee everything I needed after such a long day. Thanks so much ☺️

Sonachon house is now under new owners Leanne and Aaron. They were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent with full English, cereals, toast, and yoghurt on offer. They also provide some towels for the beach as well as free loan of bucket and spades.There is a spacious communal lounge which was really nice to relax in over a cup of coffee. Rooms were clean and nice ensuite shower room. Aaron tells me that he is planning to offer fishing trips next year for guests. A most enjoyable stay and wish them both a very successful future. I would definitely recommend.

Room wassmall but adequate for one person

One night business trip. Staff very welcoming and the room had everything you could need. Left before breakfast. Would stay again.

Our bedroom and bathroom were extremely small for two not very large people. The living room was very musty. The owners were exceptionally nice people and the breakfast first class.

2nd time visit and is a lovely place with great breakfast and lovely stuff

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Arrived to warm smiles, warm and cold drinks and biscuits. The room was perfect and even nicer than the photo suggested. Breakfast was lovely and advice on local area was fantastic. We had a great time as a family of 4 (2 children aged 2 and 4)

I stayed at the Sonachan Hotel whilst on a house hunting trip in the area. It was easy to find & well located but still in a quiet area. There was parking both on site & on the street outside. The welcome was both warm & friendly with the owners more than willing to give advice on the local area. The room & ensuite were of a good size & spotlessly clean. A great choice of breakfast was offered, as a vegetarian I was well catered for. I couldn't have asked for more from my stay, I would definitely stay here again & would have no problem in recommending it to others, for the price you won't get any better ..... guaranteed!

Booked a night stay while I was on my travels and was not once disappointed with the hospitality or the accomodation. Arrived earlier than check in and was offered tea and biscuits, which was very kind! The room I was given was also very lovely and homely, and I slept undisturbed through the night. The accomodation is less than 10 minutes walk from the town centre and the beach, which is really handy for shopping and leisure. The breakfast gave a wide range of choice, which was nice to see, and I thoroughly enjoyed what was cooked for me. Really enjoyed my stay from start to finish, and would definitely book again for longer!

Accommodation was excellent

The hotel was most comfortable and the owners very happy to accommodate changes like ordering a breakfast for just one day. The location was close to the harbour and beach but away from the busy bar strip. It would suit adults better than families with children.
