Stayed for a couple of days mid Jan. Room was really clean and comfortable and modern. Staff very friendly and helpful A perfect base to explore and relax Good breakfast in the morning

Very well equipped rooms

We found the Dolphin to be clean throughout, the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast in the window was excellent well cooked and presented.

Friendly welcome. Very comfortaable room with a lovely harbour view. Great breakfast. Would definitely book again

Fantastic location! Walked with bags from the station, immediate access to great streets with shops, cafes, pubs, restaurants. Team courteous n helpful. Room & bathroom clean just not absolutely spotless. Was in room 5 and it was small with not much of a view but entirely comfortably for one person. Breakfast was hot and cook/server couldn’t have been kinder. And my bags were carried up and down which was really appreciated. Would stay again

All round fantastic for very little money

Room was clean and nice but we were on top floor not good for my legs no lift breakfast cereals nice fresh fruit breakfast tasted cheap

Quite noisy room in wind at night until we secured the sash window, then gurgling noises from the drains in the bathroom

Great location, room had a lovely view and staff were very welcoming and friendly. Nice comfortable bed, great breakfast. Maybe could do with a lick of paint but would definitely stay here again.

Booked a room with a bath but didn’t get that I got a room with a small bathroom, the shower was tiny with mould in parts. The room was okay but very dated and needs a complete renovation as does the whole hotel. It was quite expensive and the reviews I had read were good so I was really disappointed. We didn’t stay for breakfast as we just wanted to leave.

Perfect location. Traditional hotel. Breakfast included and cooked to order. Restaurant on site with good choice. Five minutes from train station. Have stayed previously and would return. Stayed in Room 6 - fab view.

Breakfast was excellent and a really nice view from the room where it was (overlooked the harbour)

Lovely place to stay harbour side excellent view clean room staff very friendly breakfast multiple choice very tasty nothing was to much trouble for the staff definitely visit again thank you all for a perfect holiday.

We had a great stay at the Dolphin, i am already looking forward to going back. Great hotel and nice staff, very nice breakfast too.

Upon checking in, the room registered 32c degrees on my phone with no air con or fan. Security wise, the bathroom window was held open by a chock of wood, ground floor. Pretty unacceptable heat wise and security wise. I was not able to use the room and booked into another hotel nearby.
