Check in was quite time consuming, the chap didn’t really know what to do and didn’t offer any info on what time breakfast was and where our room was etc.. we have stayed a few times, and we have always thought the hotel very tired and run down so wasn’t expecting much especially for the price we paid, but was pleasantly surprised, it looks like the place has been repainted and freshened up. Breakfast was a shambles, one young lady having to deal with everything, the hot plate was always empty as people waiting for food and then as soon as it was bought out it obviously went straight away, no knives on any tables, not enough seating for everyone, when food was available it was very tasty.

Stay was horrid, staff were not great at all, had to wait to check in whilst girl chatted to a friend, got to took my door was open, went down for food and a drink no staff had to wait to ask the girl on desk again who was still talking to her friend, waited another 5 minutes to get food and a drink, food was Terrible, and hotel stank of weed

On arrival the lady at the front desk was not very welcoming, she threw a piece of paper down with no explanation. Since I had book/paid online I was unsure why I was filling it out. When I had asked a question she was rude and snappy. There was 2 people working in the bar and the lady was very rude. She took our order but seemed annoyed and like it was inconvenienced by this. I had asked for a glass and she slammed it on the bar. Multiple members of staff were rude and unhelpful.

My stay wasn’t bad at all, in actual fact, there was a big improvement from the last time I was there (which was some years back). The rooms was cleaned promptly and the environment was welcoming.

There was a man screaming, swearing and kicking doors from about 3am for an hour. I booked breakfast with reception but breakfast staff knew nothing about it. When getting coffee from the machine something came out of the machine into the cup, long and thick, no idea what it was. Breakfast was not worth the money and was quite dried up. Staff were lovely. Have stayed here before many times but probably won’t stay again. It’s gone downhill

Nice hotel the staff are very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was ok. But was bit cold and seemed little dry. I think £12 for breakfast is little to much most hotels I have worked in or been to have two different set prices for full breakfast and continental breakfast. Specially if you are wanting guests to spend there money in the hotel and it would profit the kitchen food spend better and save on the waste maybe introduce the to good to go to reduce waste on food. Few hotels up in Newcastle are doing it. The room was nice and relaxing. One thing I would recommend is as the hot water can burn is to have signs saying careful hot water. Overall I was satisfied and felt comfortable and welcomed. Thank you

Very basic hotel with very limited dining at the time I was there. Cheap and you get what you pay for

This property needs serious attention. I'm very disappointed in my overall stay. The only nice part is the staff.

Had issues with entering the room as the key was not working. It happened to a few guests while I was checking in

Terrible. Our heating was broken and so I spent most of the night shivering as I was so cold I could not get to sleep. The whole room smelt like toilet - it was awful. Breakfast was below average and the breakfast staff weee terribly rude to guests that were asking why there were no eggs available. A reasonable question you would think - but clearly not for the two staff members. We expected budget but did not imagine something as poor as this. We also complained. The receptionist said she would ‘send an email to management’. We’ve heard nothing.

Couldnt get heating to work,probably why there was a plug in oil rad which gave out no real heat.the room was cold and no extra bedding given to layer up.my wife couldnt sleep as she was cold.if it was full price for this room i would have complained or was this price given as this room was inadequate for purpose.

Check in took 40mins. The receptionist's communication in this time was non-existent. We had pre booked but she couldn't find a dog-friendly room available until another member of staff arrived and pointed out that they were available. When we arrived at the room it was a twin instead of the double we had booked. Given the lengthy process of getting a room, we weren't for trying with the receptionist to sort it. There were pet urine stains on the carpet and walls. The money collected as a deposit to house a pet should be used to sort this. The room key had to be reset several times even in just our short stay, and our room was quite a trek from reception so this became frustrating. We had paid for two nights but left after the first.

The property was decent, and the staff were accommodating. I wish they had an elevator or another entrance to the far end of the hotel. Walking back and forth to my room was kind of a trek. Nice place to stay though.

Very convenient for the M11.

Stayed with a friend because the trains were disrupted, Ideal location if your looking for an out of London location, that isn’t expensive. Nice place, friendly staff ticks all the boxs.

Personal sehr nett, aber Zimmer nicht sauber

The room was very clean an we got everything we need. The hotel bar was nice and the employees were very friendly. Over all we had a nice stay. But a view things wasn' t that good. The door to our room was a bit heavy to open and close. The door to the bathroom was also hard to close or couldn't be closed. Unfortunately it was quite noisy - we could hear the noise from the streets all night. We wasn't happy with the heating. If it was on, it was too hot an the air was too dry. Without the heating it was too cold. But this were minor things for us.

Budget hotel comfortable clean room was a good size. Single beds small size single width wise room would easily accommodate the larger bed.
