The Holt Hotel

Nice hotel with free parking and spacious rooms. staff were friendly and helpful. the food was delicious and the afternoon tea was good and affordable... they have nice outdoor seating and it was a good base to explore the Cotswolds.

Easy check in. We did not get charged for an early check in. £30 to pre book a 12pm check in is extortionate. Either your room is available or it’s not! That aside we had a lovely stay. Clean and modern bathroom. Loved the Biscoff biscuits ( 2 each!) We ate in the restaurant and everything we had was delicious. Super service and everything was hot.

Great place to stay. Spacious, clean, well maintained and awesome breakfast.

A very nice hotel

We love this hotel so much. The moment you walk in, it’s welcoming and homely. It’s decorated beautifully and the rooms are so clean and comfortable. The breakfast is so good, with a wide range of options. We can’t fault this hotel. We’ll be back each time.

Did not stop for breakfast but dinner was good.

Arrival and check in was all good, restaurant was good great food. We stayed with a wedding party, so we had quite a few rooms. I believe the rest of the parties rooms were fine however my room was on the second floor. We we had suitcases to carry to the second floor, large mother of the bride dresses with a large hat box and accessories. This was extremely difficult for myself because I was leaving the hotel at different times from other people. I was in a hurry with time. I’m trying to get my belongings downstairs for my transport. So please be aware if you’ll ever have a wedding party ask for rooms on the ground floor. My main issue with the room was the heat. The radiator was on max, the window was extremely small even when we turned the radiator off the heat just did not seem to go down. Coffee facilities were fine however I never understand why hotels do not leave enough milk the shower was fine however it was a very tight cubicle and trying to have some self-care was extremely hard. I am only 5 foot one and weigh 120 lb so I have no idea how larger people did it. Also, my room was in the attic roof the roof draped over the bed. This was extremely claustrophobic on top of the room being probably one of the smallest they had. Needless to say I didn’t sleep at all which wasn’t great for the day ahead. My advice is if you have a wedding party staying, think ahead unlike I did.

Great stay

On arrival check in was no bother. We stayed in a family room ( 3 adults ) which was a bit of a hike to get to. The room itself was very spacious and very clean. Amenities, tea and coffee was plenty. Only gripe was the TV was around the corner from the main double bed and viewing was awkward but other than that no problem. Breakfast was standard to be honest with plenty to choose from - nothing more to say. Would be stay again - yes and no 😁

We went to the restaurant without having booked at 19:05 without having booked a table and felt like we caused an inconvenience to the staff. Aftwr a short wait we got a table and food was delivered promptly. However I gave up on trying to order another drink after dinner even after approaching staff at the bar. I gave up in the end and asked for the bill which had a 10% gratuity added automatically which in this case wasn't deserved. The breakfast on the other hand was good. Plenty of choice and good value for money.

Just a short stay but everything as expected

Excellent breakfast. Great location. Room very nice. Staff very friendly. Place not that “cute”.

It was good.

Very pleasant staff. Clean and comfortable room, larger than most hotels of this type. The restaurant dinner was well prepared and the service was excellent.

Room was large. Shower powerful. Bed a bit too firm. Staff seem friendly. Bar area nice. Breakfast below par. Dried up fried eggs, bread for toasting not very nice. But overall it’s a nice hotel.

Bit of an sanitary smell in the hallway upstairs nothing in walking distance apart from petrol station opposite

Feels like home away from home. So friendly. From the front desk to the bar. Rooms are great. Has access to channels on the TV. Great if you’re heading to Soho Farmhouse or local events. Thank me later
