The Kings Arms Inn

Generally OK with good service and helpful staff but rather dated and worn - needs redecorating throughout and new matresses/pillows on beds. Acceptable for 1 or 2 nights but not longer. Off-road car park is small and difficult to access, made more difficult by staff using the car park. Lots of on street parking available in principle but mostly taken, especially at weekends.

Great room, spotless, warm and cosy. Staff were so friendly, food excellent, log fire amazing! Loved staying there. Thankyou to all of you for making my stay memorable!

Large, very clean room and friendly staff. Cooked breakfast in the morning was superb, one of the best hotel English Breakfasts I’ve ever had - really good sausage and quality bacon. Would stay again just for the breakfast!

Very friendly staff, excellent food, high quality bedding, towels and toiletries. Room was comfortable, if a little dated. Overall an excellent experience and would stay again

Excellent room, excellent food and service

Good menu choices for dinner. Plates beautifully presented and food excellent. The pub was pleasantly busy for a Wednesday evening both for eating and drinking. Good choice of continental and English breakfast. Room a bit small and shower cubicle a bit small but OK for one night. Our dog was made very welcome.

Clean Room and facilities great except the shower which was on a pump but for this location and quaint village was only to be expected Breakfast was to die for Top quality food freshly cooked -Excellent !!

Amazing stay, staff are great and the food is always fantastic. The only point for improvement is that is a difference in the rooms between above the bar and the ground level rooms which the price doesn’t reflect very well

Comfy bed, cosy room and nice shower! Quite noisy (you can hear other guests and doors slamming a bit sadly) Breakfast was average

Set in a lovelly village Montecute House is 3 minutes walk away. Only minor winge wad the bed was a bit hard but that didn't affect our stay. Great beer and prices were reasonable. Would recommend a stay here.

Enjoyed our stay ,the food was nice and an issue we had was resolved amicably.

We stay here quite often, to break our journey to visit family. Carpark, rooms cosy, food good, staff friendly & helpful. Dog friendly.

The Staff were fantastic - couldn't be more helpful. Room was ok, very clean, and had a good night's rest. Lovely meal and had a nice wander around the village. Very convenient off the A303 for a break on our trip to Cornwall. Highly recommend.

A very nice old english pub with great food and drink.

Tired hotel, mattress could do with replacing, noise from floorboards in room above mine and you could hear word for word the conversations they had required proper soundproofing, Parking is sparse and awkward, all staff friendly, good hot shower, tv was the smallest ever! Needs a general update and ivy removing from window which was growing into the room. Black mould around shower on ceiling, weird musky smell. Could be a very nice hotel but then room rates would double!!
