Comfy bed, cosy room and nice shower! Quite noisy (you can hear other guests and doors slamming a bit sadly) Breakfast was average

Set in a lovelly village Montecute House is 3 minutes walk away. Only minor winge wad the bed was a bit hard but that didn't affect our stay. Great beer and prices were reasonable. Would recommend a stay here.

Enjoyed our stay ,the food was nice and an issue we had was resolved amicably.

We stay here quite often, to break our journey to visit family. Carpark, rooms cosy, food good, staff friendly & helpful. Dog friendly.

The Staff were fantastic - couldn't be more helpful. Room was ok, very clean, and had a good night's rest. Lovely meal and had a nice wander around the village. Very convenient off the A303 for a break on our trip to Cornwall. Highly recommend.

A very nice old english pub with great food and drink.

Tired hotel, mattress could do with replacing, noise from floorboards in room above mine and you could hear word for word the conversations they had required proper soundproofing, Parking is sparse and awkward, all staff friendly, good hot shower, tv was the smallest ever! Needs a general update and ivy removing from window which was growing into the room. Black mould around shower on ceiling, weird musky smell. Could be a very nice hotel but then room rates would double!!

We had a great stay, the room was good and the evening meal was great.

We have stayed at this hotel several times and each time it has been a pleasure. The location, build, staff are amazing. A friendly local pub atmosphere with a fabulous restaurant. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The staff were very welcoming & informative. The food was excellent. The bed was comfortably & linen spotless. My only reservations were that the carpets were very tired & dusty around the furniture & skirting boards & the decor could do with a refresh

Brilliant service. The young girl was helpful, caring and such a lovely person. The manager was lovely and chatty.food was really lovely and breakfast was brilliant the lady serving us breakfast couldn’t do enough, such a helpful person. Bed comfortable, nice room. Brilliant stay would highly recommend. So nice to be greeted by friendly helpful people. Thank you x

Good friendly staff

Our Double Room was basic to say the least. The Mattress should been changed 20 or 30 years ago, was so lumpy, with springs poking through, thoroughly uncomfortable, plus the pillows were cement hard and lifeless. The en-suit was so compact and they did well to cram in a Shower, WC and Basin, sized for children! The Shower had a Mould above and below it. Electrical socket was coming away from the wall. However the breakfast was good and the Bar and restaurant area were nice and the staff were very good.

Very good, great evening meal and breakfast, friendly efficient staff.

Although the room and bathroom decor was a little tired, the room was clean and tidy. Staff were very friendly and breakfast was excellent. Will definitely be staying again 👍
