The Royal Hotel

The hotel may not be classed as a 3 star but everything else about the hotel was definitely was and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Also a mention for James for going over and above to help. The area of Waterloo has some interesting history and sights 😀

For our second visit this year we had a good room and the bed was fab. Food is good here and recomend it

I always look for parking on site and food both where good, friendly staff made you feel welcome, would stay there again

Perfect location beautiful wals around and close to the beach

Very nice friendly hotel. All the staff were really helpful and the well decorated bedroom had a comfy bed and pillows. Nice clean bathroom and the breakfast was first rate, so would definitely stay at the Royal again.

Absolutely fantastic stay. The hotel is super clean, the breakfast menu extensive and the staff first class. Great to see hotels done like they should be. Local staff, family run, cheerful, happy and nothing is too much trouble. Would totally stay again.

The hotel has lovely dining facilities and a beautiful veranda for taking afternoon tea. The staff are friendly and really helpful. Only 2 minutes to beautiful gardens and the Mersey

Beautiful people, great service, always smiling and friendly. Breakfast was fantastic, many options & happy to make changes. The room although upstairs had a great outlook, was quiet and comfortable, staff assisted with baggage.Hotel in a great location close to some fantastic restaurants, train, bus.

Accommodation was great and whilst a little way out of the city it was easy to get around. Plenty of choices in and around the hotel. Staff were excellent, friendly and efficient. Helped out very well with a check in issue. Particularly the helpful lady in the breakfast restaurant, very helpful and informative. Only thing missing a fridge in the room which seems to be the norm in UK

Room was good & comfortable, friendly helpful staff, great food & a good selection of reasonably priced drinks. Lovely breakfast included. Plenty of safe off street parking.

Shower could have been better

The location of this hotel is absolutely amazing. The Crosby beach is only a 10 minute walk and the main street of Waterloo is just 5 minutes away with bars and restaurants a plenty. The Royal Hotel is a lovely place to stay with a restaurant on site. The staff are excellent and very helpful. The rooms are clean and have enough space. You have tea and coffee making facilities in the room and a fan to cool you down on hot days as there is no aircon. Rooms are set on 2 floors but there is no lift so maybe not a place to stay if you are disabled. We had a meal on our first night and the food was delightful and cooked to perfection. The price of the meal was affordable and the service by the waitress was excellent. They have a bar there that can seat plenty of customers and once again the bar staff are very helpful and cheerful. I will definitely be staying here again in the future and would advise anyone heading to this area to do the same. Thank you to all the staff at the Royal it was a pleasure to stay at your lovely hotel.

Great location, staff were great and very helpful. Clean and comfortable rooms with very spacious bathroom and one of the best breakfast's available.

Very easy check in and no lift but comfortable room with large comfy bed

We stayed here on our way to the Isle of Man .. if you are a biker, room 26 (if I recall correctly) is perfect for you. Bikes are right out front, and you get your own entrance.
