Great staff, clean and comfortable rooms

Last min booking for a night away to have a meal and a few drinks room was clean comfy and spacious with everything you needed staff were really accommodating and very friendly food was lovely and a great breakfast will definitely stay again

A lovely place to stay in a quiet, pretty village surrounded by lovely countryside. The staff were excellent and so friendly. The bed was very comfortable and the room was decorated to a high standard. I appreciated the fridge with cold bottles of water and fresh milk. The breakfast was substantial and tasty (I loved the vine tomatoes). I would definitely recommend The Sally to friends.

Our stay was a quick one as we arrived at 9pm and left early the next morning but we loved The Sally and the village. Breakfast was amazing and the service was the best!

An oasis when walking the Hadrian way. Rather over-priced but the standard of food and comfort make it palatable. What was really noticeable was the friendliness of the staff. From the girls who served us dinner to the lady on breakfast, they had a smile on their face and that makes all the difference.

The service and the food were really good. The only downside was the smell of food in the bedroom due to the extractor fan from the kitchen and it's being hot we had y have the windows open. Also the fan in the room looked state of the art but was pretty useless. All this was compensated for by the excellent food and friendly service.

Stayed here for business and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Great location in the middle of the village, on site free parking. Nice welcome and taken to my room. Lovely clean room I would say recently refurbished and good facilities. Comfy bed, clean bathroom, wardrobe and storage space. A safe if you need it, a drink fridge and good team and coffee making facilities. Two slight improvements could be made. 1. Daily housekeeping would be nice. 2. Some decent cooling fans as it was stiflingly hot and sadly couldn’t sleep much. The restaurant food is delicious and extremely well presented, huge choice of drinks. Breakfast was cooked to order and again very tasty. The staff are helpful, polite and friendly. I will be booking here again. Thank you.

Amazing place to stay 😁 ate in the restaurant the first night and it was superb 😁 and in the morning breakfast was cook as wanted and was to the same standard 😁 We stayed because it was close to family we were visiting and have already booked again ⭐️⭐️⭐️

The room was spotless and had a beautiful bathroom. The hotel was in a village close to Hadrian's wall. We had a great breakfast, waitress served.

Could not imagine a more wonderful stay. Hiking Hadrian’s wall and the Sally was a most wonderful stay. The food was incredible with great vegetarian and gluten free options. The rooms were large and comfortable with very comfortable beds, great water pressure, and all spotlessly clean. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, all in a lovely little parish. I highly recommend staying at the Sally.
