The Tickled Trout

The room was a great size, looked lovely with nice decor, a full size mirror and was very clean. Some nice touches with biscuits and lemon sweets. The bed was very comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. The location is quiet and close by to lots of places to visit. All in all recommended 😊

Lovely stay with very friendly staff. Just for a short while, front of property has scaffolding up while minor exterior decorating is taking place; doesn’t detract from the overall visit though.

We didn't have breakfast there. Bar offered a good choice of drinks. The extractor fan didn't work in the on suite but it was kept very clean. The stairs to the room were quite steep and the doors were very close together making it a little difficult to manoeuvre. The toilet was quite tall so shorter people may find their feet wouldn't touch the floor. The bed was very comfortable.

Very nice room and a comfortable bed . Everything we needed for our stay. Very friendly staff, great food and lovely area. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

This has been on our bucket list for years so we finally got here for our 41st anniversary and we weren't disappointed. Our meals were lovely, well presented and very tasty. Our room was lovely, clean and tidy. Staff were excellent, very welcoming and friendly. I also have to mention the Balfour lager, it has a distinctive taste and is way better than all the usual eurofizz generally available. I'd recommend the Trout as a place to stay to explore the local area.

Smashing, cosy pub with lovely rooms, friendly, helpful staff. Grand pub food as well. Plenty of free parking as well.
