Clean, functional room. Perfect location. Small room but perfect for my needs. Ability to have a coffee and light meal in the hotel before setting out for the day. Affordable rates for this part of London. Quiet room considering busy location.

Great for a stay over in London at a reasonable price. Bed was a bit hard but that could just be preference. The room was clean and cool and staff were friendly and helpful. Good selection at breakfast. Would definitely choose Z Hotels again!

I have been staying here before and love the hotel, the rooms, the location and the prices. However, I was not aware that if you book a double room, (for 2 adults) they charge you for an xtra person. This was not clear at all when I booked.

The cleaning standards were ok, the TV in the bedroom suffered from a poor signal and interference. The team did not listen and half way through checking in started a conversation between themselves, no apology or excuse me. Poor customer management. And then insisted on completing the info dispite me saying I have stayed serval times and was in one of their sister hotel the previous night !!

Great location, but the AC in the room was not functioning and could barely keep the room cold enough for a comfortable sleep. Also the AC filters were caked with dust which I cleaned myself to try and improve the airflow but that did nothing.

The room was compact, so travel light, but super clean! The bed and pillows were great, airco was working well, lovely selection of coffee/tea in the room. Water pressure was phenomenal btw. All staff we encountered were friendly and professional. Breakfast was good too

Really good location but size of rooms were really small in standard rooms and I know it’s London but avoid standard rooms if you want a room you can walk in. Breakfast is not worth paying for as better options close by.

Room could have been cleaner. Few hairs around. But great location, easy check in. Very very small room which is fine if you plan to be out for the whole day and back in the evening. No room to chill

Smallest room i’ve ever had. Some rooms have no windows which we did not know so keep in mind. Clean.

There are no windows, my room was in the basement, it looked a bit cramped, but it was great for a single traveler for a night considering the location and price

We booked this hotel knowing the rooms would be small and that it was a no frills hotel. That was not an issue for us because we spent very little time in the room. The location was the biggest highlight. It is just a short walk from Covent Garden, many of London’s main attractions, and a Tube station, making it very convenient. Unfortunately, our experience with customer service changed our opinion. After housekeeping cleaned our room one evening, we returned to find a bug crawling on our bed. At the time, we did not know if it was a bed bug or something else, but regardless, finding any bug on your bed is unsettling. The front desk was kind, moved us to a new room, and promised complimentary breakfast for the rest of our stay while they investigated. The next day they confirmed it was a carpet beetle, which was a relief. However, when we went to breakfast, we were told the promise had been withdrawn because it was “only” a carpet beetle. We were disappointed that they did not honor what they had offered. To make matters worse, we also noticed bugs in the fruit bowl at breakfast. The location is great, but the inconsistent customer service and failure to keep their word left a negative impression. We would not stay here again.

Hotel was fully booked they gave us a room where air con was not working tv broken , gave us a free breakfast which was basic only nice thing was the coffee I am still awaiting a slight refund

Everything was really ok

I chose this hotel for its central location within 6 minutes of Holborn's Underground station. Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus, Covent Garden and Oxford St. are easily walkable from the hotel. I especially liked the daily breakfast (GBP 13.95) with fresh fruit, yogurt, cereals, baked goodies, juices and prepared foods (my favorite was the ham and cheese omelette). The staff heated the cold food upon request, and the front desk staff were efficient. The hotel was very clean, and housekeeping did a great job of cleaning my room every two days. I failed to notice when booking that the Queen room with window consists of only 10 square metres. The bed abutted the window with the length of the bed filling the width of the room, occupying one-third of the room. I was not impressed by the Sky television service. There were about 25 channels listed, of which one-third were sports, several were not available, and the balance bore no relation to the Guide (with the actual program being totally different from the Guide description). I only gave 3 stars to the room amenities. For those of us who are used to the North-American standard room amenities, be aware that the Queen room with window room did not include a clothes closet, drawers, chair, microwave, coffee maker, fridge, etc. My decision to book might have been different had I known that this was a very basic room. Nevertheless, I did enjoy my five-night stay at the hotel and will consider staying there again.

Great room for 2 adults and 2 children

Only issue we had was at 3pm checkin time there was a queue nearly out the door of guests checking in which made for a long wait.

The location of the Z Hotel was excellent and only about a block and a half from the Holborn Underground station. The room was very modern, up to date. It was a tad tiny but manageable. The cable TV offering could had more news options especially for business, No business news. The hotel menu could have had better vegetarian options like omelets. Check in and check out was seamless.
