When my husband & I checked in we were immediately upgraded, because I am disabled & use a wheelchair, the room we were originally given had 3 steps to get to it & they said that we would find it difficult to get too so was given a lovely large room, the staff couldn’t do enough for us, they were so lovely, kind & attentive.
The only down side we found was there weren’t any large disabled parking bays near the entrance, in fact there weren’t very many at all.

Hotel very good. Check in excellent. Room good but a chair by the desk would be helpful as easy chair too low. In the bathroom the left hand door of shower cubicle didn’t fit properly and in danger of falling off. Also, while the facilities in the bathroom were generally good, the lid on the toilet seat was really cheap and flimsy. Generally, a little extra care could change the rating of the room from good to excellent.

Service and food in restaurant was good. Beds were poor, condition the room was poor and barely clean. There was no hot water throughout our stay. Ironically the boiler noise kept us awake. It was very noisy with kids running around and screaming upto 2.45am.
Looks and nice hotel but the reality is very different. We were refunded for our stay through Expedia. The hotel staff weren’t really that interested in resolving the issue.

I have stayed here a couple of times but this time there was no hot water for my stay and the lights were not working in the hotel room. I got moved to another room but there was an issue with the keycard. It did not work and a staff member had to let me into the hotel room. There was no hot water during my entire stay and I could not have a shower the next day.

No draft beers available, really slow service in restaurant. Food was good though. Service again at breakfast was poor had to go looking for someone they the chef supplied me with decent food except the beans smelled of curry…

This is a terrible hotel. We had no hot water, no remote control for the TV. The staff didn’t care. They would give us a refund. In my opinion we will never stay here again.

Room was clean & tidy. Service was slow in the restaurant for dinner and for breakfast, I had to go find the staff to place our orders, other diners had to do the same.

Pleasant reception staff on arrival however lift not working so had to carry a heavy case up the stairs.
In the morning the water was off in bathroom so not able to flush toilet or shower. Used bottled water to brush teeth.

We absolutely loved the atmosphere of this building. It was beautiful inside and out. The reception, hallways, toilets and rooms, all extremely clean and pleasant looking. The restaurant was very nice. Food wasn't incredible but decent nonetheless. Cozy place. The only thing I didn't like was the lack of customer service. Most people in this place like the receptionists and servers, give off this uninterested tone. Wouldn't really make eye contact, barely smiled. Aside from that, lovely place.

The beds were comfy, but the room is outdated, even a bit of paint would improve the room and some new lamps as the lamp shades had stains inside that were not appealing
