Clean room , very good breakfast, outstanding staff … except for the front desk.Front desk is quite aloof and could not care less.

Everything was perfect! The location is very central, within walking distance of the attractions and shopping streets. We loved the design of the hotel - the lobby, the corridors, the room and the restaurant. The room is spacious, the bed was huge and comfortable. All the time we were surrounded by staff members who gave perfect service. We would love to come back!

Pros: prime location, great staff. Quiet room, perfect breakfast. Cons: old mattress with pits and uneven surface. Couldn't close windows due to old latches. Bathtub/shower is too tiny to comfortably take a shower. Drain is clogged. Difficult to wash without water flowing all around.

Her var det høy standard på alt, og servicen var på topp. Rommet var flott, og vi ble oppgradert - noe som alltid er hyggelig. Lyon var en flott by, og vi kommer gjerne tilbake både til Lyon og til Le Royal Hotel Lyon.

Great staff and excellent location

The staff were friendly, and helpful. However, the air vents were extremely dirty. There was black grime on the vent, and on the wall itself. The furniture was faded and outdated, it needs to be updated

Vieux mobilier avec vieille moquette avec des bouts arrachés. Tout est à refaire dans cet hôtel. Ne mérite pas les 5 étoiles! Le personnel est ok. La propreté laisse à désirer... Baignoire trop petite, même pour les personnes de 1m60. Bruyant comme hôtel. Rue animée. Mauvaise expérience et prix trop cher pour ce que c'est.

The hotel is nicely decorated and located

This hotel has an excellent location in Lyon. Near everything. Across the street from the tourism office which is where several tours begin. The staff was helpful when I asked. I understand the hotel will be going through a renovation next year which is needed in some areas. Also, my room was smaller than I prefer but that’s my fault for not upgrading. All-in-all, a great stay.

Great location, professional service and very good breakfast. The room in a need of refresh as quite old and worn out furnitures (the bed however very good and comfortable)

My wife and I checked in and after seeing our bedroom realized we had made a huge mistake. We wanted to enjoy our trip to Lyon but the hotel was not up to our standards. Supposedly a 5 star hotel but it really feels like a 3 stars. No restaurant was available for dinner because it is under renovation. Our room was a trip to the past in a bad way. All was old, not dirty but in dire need of renovation and attention. We had to check out after having dinner at a restaurant nearby and go to a better hotel. To top it all off, the manager refused to give us a refund. They even kept the 2 night! Unbelievable! Beware!

Bed and pillows were amazing. Only downside a part on the shower was broke but didnt ruin the experience
