Le Maitai Rangiroa

We stayed at the Maitai for 4 days. The hotel is outdated, broken floor and windows. It’s pretty close to the airport and you can hear all the airplane noise due to the broken windows. The staff told us they could find us a better room from the second date but never come back to us for any updates. Will never go back again! Not recommended at all!!!

Personnel pas très accommodant, petit déjeuner moyen, dîner cuisine moyennes, pâtes tiède, poissons cru sans citron, tiponche sans citron vert, Service sans sourires et plutôt stressé, un couple à côté est resté une bonne demi heure sans que les assiettes soient débarrassées. L’endroit est joli mais le reste est au maximum entre 2 et 3 étoiles. Dommage, une instruction et des recommandations feraient merveille.

The rooms are clean and there is a restaurant that offers delicious food. The rooms could use extra outlets for phone charging. If you want to charge your phone, you need to unplug your bed side lamp.

I was so impressed by the quality of this place in such a remote location. Everyone was so kind and I thought it was a beautiful hotel. Thank you for your hospitality!

We loved staying here. Absolutely gorgeous location and very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are a little dated but I like the retro Polynesian vibe. We greatly enjoyed breakfast and the meals we had at the restaurant.

Excellent séjour dans un site magnifique avec un personnel à l'écoute. Le bungalow pourrais avoir un léger rafraichissement mais les conditions d'accueil sont très bonnes.

Maitai was an awesome place to stay in Rangiroa! The views were amazing and the bungalow we stayed in was great! The food was tasty at the restaurant and it was more affordable than other places in French Polynesia. Also added bonus that breakfast was included. Service at the front desk was great while service during meals would have been better if the servers were more attentive. Like other reviews mentioned, Wi-Fi was not good in our bungalow. Regardless of those small issues, I would recommend Maitai to anyone looking for a place to stay in Rangiroa.

Resort was good & right on the water. I've stayed here 3 years in a row. Wish the food was better at dinner or the menu was changed from time to time.

Don't get a waterfront cabin. They've planted hedges in front of the verandahs so you cant see the sea.

The lagoon is amazing!

Resort per nulla professionale, pochi servizi. Al ristorante poco cibo e tutto congelato, personale scorbutico e parla solo francese. Non consiglio, meglio il Kia Ora dove siamo stati tutti i giorni a pranzo e cena.

Very friendly staff- beautiful area

Big renovation of the resort, management and Staff are longe overdue. Poor rooms, with lots of mold, rotten Floor, terrible bathroom and paperthin walls, so you get to enjoy all nightly activities of your neighbour and hear the snoring afterwards. Lots of mice and other uninvited guests in the resort and even in the bar and restaurant. I encountered 2 members of Staff who like to work in the hospitality business, so feel sorry for them and appreciatie their efforts, but all the others were tired and not interested. Wifi was not working during the whole stay. Breakfast is very underwhelming and don’t have your dinner in the restaurant, because they seriously overcook everything, and a beautifull fresh fish is made unedible. Including the cost of a return with a taxi you will eat much better and cheaper somewhere else on the island. Avoid at all costs!

Excellent court séjour. L’hôtel est confortable, les petits déjeuners de qualité. Des vélos sont à disposition.
