Overall, one of the best all-inclusive hotels I have stayed in, and I travel for leisure several times a year. The food was plentiful and above average, though it became a bit repetitive after about one week. The one time we dined at the on-site steak house, which requires a reservation and can only be booked once every seven nights, we wished we’d gone to the buffet instead. Drinks were good, although the cocktail list could be expanded to include more options. Our sea/pool view room was spacious enough to accommodate two adults and one teenager, and the sofa bed used by the teenager was conveniently located as far as possible from the main bed and separated by a door that you can close for privacy. I wish the hotel offered more activities and options for daytime and nighttime entertainment, including on the beach. Also wish the staff would be less pushy about making guests leave dining areas as soon as it is time to clean up after each meal. A little flexibility goes a long way in making guests feel at home, and not every single guest has to leave before you set up for the next meal. Finally, there was a strong sewage smell by the beachside bar with the big TV a couple of times, which was off-putting and should be addressed. I would still recommend the hotel. On a related note, I would advise visiting Crete for no more than one week, unless you just want to lounge beachside or poolside everyday, or you plan to explore other islands and are using Crete merely as a home base.

The hotel claims to be 5 star. If you base that on facilities etc then i guess that is fair, but I'm afraid that’s as far as it goes. The room was clean, tidy and spacious and the area around the pool were excellent with ample comfy loungers and towels. The access to bar facilities was excellent and the staff pleasant and helpful. However, there are so many areas that the hotel falls short. The main areas were- Food- As an all inclusive there is always a chance of hit or miss. This was 2 star at best. The main dining area reminded me of school dinners (although the food seriously wasn’t that good). It was noisy and nearly all the food was of average quality and cold. The Asian was basically the same, although you had to book. My local Chinese takeaway does a far better job. The Greek restaurant was much better, but again the food was left under lamps for far too long, meaning dry and cold meats etc. We didn’t try the main steak restaurant which we were ‘permitted’ to go to once during our stay. The main reason was that a supplement was required and judging by the other restaurants we weren’t prepared to throw further money away. All in all we ate out in local restaurants for 4 of our 7 nights The bar and cleaning staff were excellent and helpful. However, the main reception staff were simply rude, dismissive and unhelpful. I have seriously had a warmer welcome at a Premier Inn, and that was using their automated system. Certainly not 5star or value for money

Lovely hotel, very contemporary and clean. My only issue was the buffet restaurant for breakfast and dinner was way too busy and a bit of a bun fight. I would recommend booking one of the smaller restaurants for a much better experience. Other than that it was excellent thank you.

Incroyable

We had an amazing 5 day experience at the hotel. The room was clean and spacious, the facilities were great but the highlight of our stay were the friendly staff they went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and happy during our stay. Big thank you to the Lyttos Mare staff!!!

This property was beautiful. Sunrise and sunset everyday. They also have a sister property right next door that you can also access. Food was amazing everyday. The beach… the pools… the lighting… this place is actually more than the pictures show.

This property is absolutely beautiful and has the potential to be excellent. During my 8 day stay from the US we were disappointed with the activities onsite. The pool closes at 7p, there are no swim up bars and staff lacks offering drinks while you’re in the pool. All restaurants close by 10p and only serve beer or wine. If you’re hungry after an excursion note theres no room service. The resort did not have entertainment nightly, there’s no club or adult activities throughout the day or night minus a dj playing for 2hrs two of the 8 days we were there. We found ourselves having to go off site for entertainment/nightlife which defeats the purpose of all inclusive. While we wanted to relax away from a party resort this falls under senior citizen resort, for the price we paid this was disappointing. I will state the staff was pleasant and our room stayed clean when requested. Drinks are ok, if you want a great experience ask for the strawberry margarita extra grand mariner. Crete is a beautiful island with lots to see and do.

The most amazing hotel! I am a gold member and travel for work and personal a lot. This hotel is beyond amazing and I can’t wait Ben express how fantastic everyone is! Maria and Mary the manager are so lovely! The hotel is clean / fun amazing food and a true 5 start

Il n y a pas de Clim dans la salle de sport! Donc impossible de faire du sport Le ménage est très mal fait et superficiel La nourriture est abondante mais pas bonne Le reste est très bien mais c est vraiment dommage car l hôtel est très beau

The hotel Lyttos Mare is a fantastic place to stay. The hotel grounds are beautiful and well-maintained, and the staff is friendly and helpful. The food at the hotel is amazing, with a wide variety of options to choose from, including gluten-free options. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the beds are very comfy. The beach is beautiful and the water is clear. The only downside is that the pool loungers are often reserved with towels, even when people aren't using them. We also had dinner at the Argentinean a la carte restaurant, which was incredible. Overall, we had a great stay at the Lyttos Mare hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation.

Es war ein wirklich wunderschöner Urlaub! Die Anlage ist super weitläufig, man bekommt an jeder Ecke was zu trinken & man kann den Wasserpark des Nebenhotels kostenfrei mit nutzen. Am Strand sind auch super bequeme Sonnenliegen und eine Strandbar, wo man auch Nachmittags gute Snacks bekommt. Mehrmals am Tag fährt ein Eiswagen vorbei (für die Kinder natürlich perfekt). Das einzige was zu Bedenken ist, dass die Softgetränke meist aus Sirup gemischt werden und das Wasser nur aus den Flaschen schmeckt. Und es war oftmals schwierig eine Sonnenliege am Pool/Strand zu bekommen, da sich viele eine Liege reservieren. Handtücher werden aber bei Ansprache vom Hotelpersonal entfernt, da es nicht gestattet ist.
