Alfasteinn Country Home Guesthouse

The Hela cabin was a wonderful stay for 3 people, it was charming and cozy. There were also horses living on the other side of the fence, we had a joy feeding and petting them! The location was also a plus, far enough from town to enjoy the stars and country atmosphere, but near enough for a short drive for meals and groceries (~10 mins).

Check in at Alfastein was stated as 6pm and that’s all the information we received initially. Luckily, we found Agust’s phone number and he helped us locate the key to let ourselves in. Soon after, Keli, the host came to welcome us and made sure we were settled. He made us feel very welcome, since we had to leave very early in the morning he fixed up the coffee for us and even offered a huge bag of bread to feed to the horses. This was such a memorable activity. We also got to see some Aurora although it was a bit cloudy. The whole house was very clean, full of interesting items, the beds were incredibly comfortable after a long day and we were warm all night. I wish we could’ve stayed here several more days. Muy agradable la estancia, la habitación familiar no es gigante, pero caben perfectamrnte 5 personas con sua mochilas y maletas. Es verdad que el baño es compartido con otras habitaciones, pero estaba muy limpio y aseado. El desayuno estuvo de maravilla y la dueña muy amable.
