The individual room for two persons was very small. But facility is okay.

Rooms and bathrooms were very clean, staff were very nice and easy to check in and out. Would have liked a water fountain but that’s the only thing I could find that wasn’t positive about the place. I do recommend having a car if you are here as it’s 10 min away from center drive and far walk

The hostel was fine. But honestly if you don't have a car it is not convenient at all unless you wnat to walk about 30 - 45 minutes to get anywhere. It is not close to the BSI bus station and the bus is a pain as you have to buy add on tickets when you get the airport bus. I was charged around $45 for a cab from the airport. You can't check in till 3pm and there is nowhere around there to eat or in the hostel. They have a kitchen and suggested I make my own food that I bought form the supermarket. Which is not close and I didn't have a car! The vending machine was super expensive and only had some really bad sandwiches. And the coffee machine is inside the reception which i closed after 9pm so good luck getting a hot drink! The beds were really hard and two singles stuck together. (I was in the private room 8). There was no desk / chair or TV which made it really awkward to use a laptop. The shared bathroom was clean. Also if you want to get the hop on hop off bus tour the nearest stop is at Perlan which is about a thirty minute walk uphill through a park with winding roads and by a really busy motorway which is impossible to cross unless you use the subway.

Please put the coffee machine in the Kitchen, it doesn't make sense to leave it in the reception since it opens at 9AM and closes at 9PM. Those who want to have a coffee before 9AM cannot have (or even after 9PM), and outside there no near possibilities.

I didn't like no night front desk, and guest not cleaning after themself, small shampoo for 35 dollars to use for a couple days, very over priced, dorm lockers extra small can even fit a carry on, front desk not very helpful if services not contracted with them and get a commission, got pretty warm at night. I liked the location and very close to BSI.

Amazing hostel, so happy I chose it. The receptionists are amazing, friendly and informative. The rooms, bathrooms, lounge and outside areas are all super clean, welcoming and comfortable.. the activities are a lot and they pick you up from right in front of the hostel. And the downtown is just a 20 mins walk … totally recommend!

There was a structural problem with one of the beds, but it was addressed promptly and professionally with a suitable, permanent repair. I was also impressed by the good work of the cleaning staff.

Good budget option about 20m walk from Halmgrimskirka. Easy logistics, everything makes sense, staff very accommodating. A few minor issues: west facing rooms get very hot on sunny days and no real option to cool (other than drawing shades). As others have noted, shower/WC combo means WC is often unavailable, especially around 6am when buses to out. It was surprisingly quiet the three days I was there, even though they were full all nights. Kitchen is serviceable for quick meals and keeping items cool (no freezer) -- they are aggressive about removing unlabeled items but labels are provided/easy. It does get busy and a bit loud in the half hour or so before big tours pull out. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised this worked so well.

Bus Hostel is what it is... convenient location to airport transportation and downtown Reykjavik, relatively affordable (for Iceland), clean, and friendly staff. But the shared bathrooms need more hooks to hang clothes!

Affordable

Only stayed a night. Place was clean. Be careful the bathrooms may be slippery if someone used the shower beforehand. Staff were helpful. I found it to be pretty far from everything. I didnt see many restaurants or stores within walkable distance. Was a 15 min walk away from bsi bus station. Hostel is really warm inside.

great stay

Would be nice if, "quiet time at 9:00 pm" was posted. And no lights. It's a hostel, 14 beds in my room, 8 people trying to sleep and 6 were a bit rude.

If ALL you need is a clean bed, in an affordable dorm, yo’ll get it. But there is no vibe inside or out. The place is cold, boring and very far from any coffee shop, restaurant, pub and all tourist attractions.

Informe en recepción que salía a las 3 de la mañana y tenía mi ticke del día anterior que compré y a pesar que reservé nunca llegó el Transfer. Tuve que pagar un uber. A las 3:15 casi pierdo el bus para ir al aeropuerto
