Mediocre — everything about this place is tired, old, delayed maintenance and needing an upgrade. Beds hard, towels old and frayed, paint chipped, staff fairly cynical and unhelpful. Food mediocre, hallways musty, controls for a/c finely. TV totally useless and old. Would not stay here again.

Rooms were small with long walk from reception. Breakfast and evening meals was enjoyable with helpful friendly staff. Front of house staff were friendly and helpful. Lobby was comfortable to wait for airport bus. Driver of bus very friendly and assisted with luggage. Bar service in day was very poor with no setving staff for over 10 minutes.

The instructions to shuttle say “use the right channel” to the shuttle. Does “right” mean “righthand” or “correct” in this sentence? We followed the “correct” channel to the “shuttles” and never found this hotel pick up. Very confusing. This hotel is a crazy maze. Our room was not listed on the wall (170). We ended up doing a lap trying to find our room. When I opened the fire door to our wing, it smelled very musty, like water damage. Our shower pan filled up and over flowed on the floor because it wouldn’t drain. We opened the drain to investigate and it was clogged with hair and sludge. Ick. Our room smelled like urine. Specifically the corner by the headboard by the bathroom wall. The only great thing about this hotel is the location. We should have stayed at the Clayton across the street.

The food at the restaurant was only ok and couldn’t be billed to the room. Staff failed to verbally mention they needed to validate your parking to exit the parking lot. It was posted in small print on the kiosks, but they helped you to check in so I didn’t even read the kiosks

The hotel is very close to the two terminals - a 12 minute walk from Terminal 1 according to Google maps. Due to a late flight, I arrived in the airport after midnight. As I had a heavy case I took the shuttle bus. The stop is close to Terminal 1 and I had only to wait a short time for the bus. The driver was extremely helpful carrying my case into reception. The staff at reception were also very welcoming and another member of staff brought my luggage to my room. All of which I appreciated after a very long day travelling. The breakfast was the standard fare for a hotel with limited choices for anyone who does not want a full English/Irish breakfast. Croissants, Danish pastries and chocolat au pain are best served freshly baked which sadly they were not. There is a small cafe style counter in the lobby which serves coffee etc. and might be better value than the full breakfast.
