Expedia shud provide check in instructions. Guests arrive to a locked door at street level. No code to punch in, no phone #, no way to contact anybody or get off the street until another guest lets you in. Frustrating after a long train ride.

Great accommodation and location for the price

Maybe off season in late October...? But a big disapprovement. Both mine and the hotel's phone numbers provided by Hotels.com were wrong so no communication and when i came late to the hotel because of lost luggage it was closed in the dark and the entrance so discrete in the dark that even the locals helping me had a hard time finding it. No way to get in then, no doorbell and no(working) telephone number. Got in because of other guests arriving.Then nobody inside either. Found another number lying at the desk and called. Then finally a guy arrived. Simple room with no internal bath - mine across the hall . The day after i was told to trust him that the lost luggage would be received in spite of him running TWO hotels at the same time and he or anyone else rarely to be seen during the day. I took no risk, waited nearby all day instead of enjoying the city and when the luggage arrived nobody at the hotel responded at the door - as i imagined! So i picked it up myself. Why Lonely Planet recommend this hotel i do not understand. Looked cool in he pictures (of course), in reality just very simple. Not expensive but the level of communication and lack of presence of the staff was very impractical. And It's almost hidden and hard to find, especially in in the dark. Guy working there was nice but not in control of things. Not recommended!

Fast check in, very nice receptionist, Ali. Clean room, great bed and pillow! Very old building with great architecture. Would stay again.

Es lohnt sich sehr, in dieses Hotel zu gehen!! Vor allem wegen des absolut einzigartigen Gebäudes! Man kommt sich vor wie in einem Spielfilm. Die Zimmer sind einfach aber sauber. Z.T. etwas laut.

It was very scary experience to come in the late evening. The door to hotell was hard to find. At the morgong there was a nice person at the reception.

This bed and breakfast is in a super interesting old building. Please know that there is no lift and you have to carry your bags up the stairs. Also know that there isn’t always staff on site. There is a nice breakfast area with limited options including yogurt, fruit, and pastries. The staff is available to make you coffees or tea. The other odd thing was with the booking. I tried to reserve 3 triple rooms each with 2 people. I didn’t notice that the booking showed 1 person in one room, 2 people in one room, and 3 people in the other room. We all got different sized rooms at different prices. So just double check your reservation with the hotel before you arrive. Make sure they know when you are coming so they will be there to let you in. The hot water in our faucet didn’t really work and the shower is just a hand held one that wouldn’t stay up on the pole. You can ask for a hair dryer if you need one, we didn’t realize this until we were leaving. It is in a great location which made some of these annoyances minor. The staff were helpful and the hotel was kept very clean.

Inget boende för någon som har svårt att gå trappor med packning. Väldigt lyhört. Även fast det är ett budgethotell så förväntar man sig att badrummet är i samma rum när det står att det har badrum. Städningen kan förbättras.

Simple but clean accommodation in a central location close to bus and train stations. Amazing entry courtyard snd ceiling fresco in the breakfast room, as the building was originally a prince's palace...

Online description didn’t focus on it being a 700 year old building with lots of stairs to climb for older guests. Minimal room but welcoming staff. Palermo is a “gritty” City!

Lugar con excelente locación, un poco ruidoso en la noche por ser un lugar céntrico, excelente servicio de desayuno

You have to carry any luggage up 2 or 3 floors no assistance..
