Vi gillade det centrala men lugna läget och all personal hade ett trevlig bemötande. Många trappsteg från gatan men det finns en antik hiss för den som föredrar det. Enkel men bra frukost och sköna sängar. Hotellet ligger i en gammal byggnad med begränsad utsikt, men det finns en liten veranda mot floden som är perfekt att nyttja till morgonkaffet eller ett glas när man vilar fötterna.

Location was great, easy to walk to major sites! We walked to/from the train station, not super close, but not a bad 15 min walk. Our room was wonderful and the staff was top notch. Clean room with a great view of the river. There is a small private terrace on the top floor available for use at any time. Breakfast was delicious. A warning though: there are about 30 steps from the street to an elevator/lift as the reception desk and rooms are 2-3 floors above street level.

This is a beautiful location, very historic and full of character, and very close to Ponte Vecchio. My only complaint would be that the bed was a bit too small for two full grown adults.

Really hard work going up the stairs but that is normal for Florence. Same applies to parking and finding the hotel. That said the location can’t be beat and the staff were friendly and helpful. The location was awesome and the stay worked out well. Parking was difficult and expensive but welcome to Florence!

Hotel situated in a perfect location convenient walking distance to most attractions. Staff accommodating, helpful and delightful. Room big, quiet, clean and comfortable with newly renovated bathroom. Only difficulty is stairs in this building built in 1507!!

Staff and owner were super nice and made us feel like family. Hotel was super unique and gave us a true italian feel. Location was perfect.
Lift starts up a few steps, so can be hard if carrying heavy luggage. This was our situation, but quickly staff and everything about this beautiful place, relieved our frustration. I want to go back!!

Andrea, at the front desk, couldn’t have been more cordial or helpful as was his staff. Monty too, couldn’t have been nicer. Very helpful with the luggage. The room was very clean. Breakfast had a great selection. You should take advantage of it. Lots of good places to eat nearby. Many attractions within walking distance. Stayed April 2-5.

Hotel Alessandra is a gem in downtown Florence, just blocks from the Ponte Vecchio. It's nothing like an American chain hotel, but that's part of the charm. Lots of stairs (like everywhere in Italy) - 2 flights to the main entrance. The front desk staff were so friendly and helpful, breakfast was lovely and varied, rooms were large and comfortable. Great water pressure and decent sized shower. Be sure to have a drink on the terrace overlooking the river. Would absolutely stay here again.

Wonderful property! Andrea the owner, will move heaven and earth to make your stay great! Only drawback is you have a flight of stairs to the elevator. Most of the buildings are 500 years old. Only a problem when carrying luggage.
The staff is great! Enjoy your stay… We highly recommend them!

Wonderful location, a perfect place for my family of 4. We had a rental car and left it parked in a nearby garage, Garage Santa Trinity and paid the daily rate. I highly recommend and also would happily come back!
