Wonderful hotel, friendly and helpful staff, almost all rooms have great view of the city, harbor, Mt. Vesuvius

Magnifique hôtel aux chambres bien aménagées et doté d’un bon restaurant avec plusieurs terrasses bénéficiant d’une vue panoramique sur la baie de Naples et le Vésuve ainsi qu’une piscine agréable sur le toit.

Hotel was in a convenient location with amazing views from the terrace and roof top. Easy access to parts of the city by funiculars that were close by. Downside was that roof top was off limits to guests for two of the three days staying at the hotel. We booked here because of the pool and outdoor terraces and common areas and we could not use these areas because of outside events booked by the hotel. On the day we were able to use the pool at 5 pm because we had to vacate due to yet another wedding that was happening that evening. It would have been helpful if the hotel could have informed us of the limited access before the deadline for cancellation given the restriction on hotel amenities.

Room and view are lovely.

Some of the lower scores are down to this is an old converted building. However the room had a damp smell and the fittings were not of great standard. Napoli is a busy city and has its own identity so don’t be surprised by the graffiti, busy noises narrow streets. The staff were excellent btw. There is parking available, but be aware driving around the city with its steep and narrow streets provide much jeopardy. The view of the city is great and the 4th floor bar is nice. We would advise walking to the town and using lime bikes to get back

Chambres propres Quelques défauts comme des prises ne tenant pas aux murs, porte de placard dégondée, TV sans signal et cerise sur le gâteau apprendre le samedi matin pour le jour même et le lendemain que la piscine n'est pas accessible cause mariage au 7eme étage de hôtel Je trouve que c'est abusé pour le prix réglé, ce n'est pas à la hauteur de ce qu'on attend Point sympathique toutefois c'est la vue côté mer

Great view and beautiful and historical hotel!

The hotel was beautiful. The history is amazing. The food is not good. We ate there twice. It was very expensive and was not very good. The “burger” was loaded with cheese. I like cheese, but it had a ridiculous amount. We had dinner and it was pretentious.

The rooftop terrace and restaurant alone make this property worth booking. Amazing views of Napoli and the bay day and night. The location is wonderful up on the hill out of the real hustle and bustle but also very accessible to everything with just a walk down the stairs right outside the hotel. Only one con for me was the lighting in the bathroom. Just a little dark and I forgot my lighted magnifying makeup mirror so getting ready was a bit of a challenge. I would definitely stay here again. Super comfy bed as well.

Beautiful hotel. Stayed there twice on both of my visits to Naples. Staff was friendly and the food at the restaurant was delicious.

Beautiful older building with modern amenities. The pool on the roof has a good view. Rooms have a comfortable bed, AC and a nice bathroom. It is relatively close to the train station and the coast. Short travel distance to Teatro Di San Carlo and the Royal Palace of ,Naples.

Das beste an diesem Hotel ist die Hotelterrasse (Frühstücksraum undRestaurant/Bar) sowie die Terrasse im 7. Stock. Fantastischer Blick über Neapel. Zimmer sind okay für so ein gehobenes Hotel (z.B. keine Regale im Schrank). Leider hält der Service nicht mit. Kommunikation zwischen Restaurant und Rezeption funktioniert nicht wirklich. Ich hatte dieses Hotel für meinen speziellen Geburtstag ausgesucht. Einen Tisch extra im Restaurant vorab reserviert. Rita sagt mir einen schönen Tisch zu. Als mein Mann und ich ankamen, wusste keiner der Kellner davon. Erste Reihe auf der Terrasse (an der Balustrade mit super Blick) war ausgebucht. Dann hat man nettereise noch einen Tisch in der vorderen Reihe zwischen den Tischen hingestellt. Mein Mann hatte mit der Rezeption gesprochen und als Überraschung für mich einen kleinen Kuchen mit 6 Kerzen bestellt. Auch das wurde nicht kommuniziert. So hat mein Mann mit den Kellner gesprochen, und sie haben mir als Überraschung einen Tiramisu mit einer Kerze hingestellt. Wenigstens das Essen war in Ordnung. Als wir am nächsten Tag die junge Frau an der Rezeption ansprachen, zuckte sie nur die Schulter und entschuldigte sich damit, es war nicht möglich. Wir waren etwas Sprachlos. Auch hat niemand im Hotel, obwohl sie es jetzt ja wussten, mir zum Geburtstag gratuliert. Nicht das ich das brauche, aber ich bin anderes gewohnt. Wir hatten vorher auch in Neapel in einem Albergo gewohnt, dort wurden wir mit viel mehr Herzlichkeit umgeben.

This was my second stay at SFM and I loved it just as much the first time. The front desk staff remembered me from my previous visit two summers ago and was so warm during check-in. The views are the best in Napoli and the rooftop pool and bar are top rate. This is my go-to hotel in Napoli.
