Room is big and very traditional Japanese style. The dinner and breakfast are superb!

Das Hotel ist gut ab Gora Bahnhof mit Standseilbahn und 5 bis 10 Minuten zu Fuss. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Tolle Auwahl bei den Bädern.

建物が古いのと階段が多かったり、本館への移動は少し面倒だが食事は美味しかったし、スタッフの方の対応も良かったし楽しい時間を過ごすことができた。 温泉は濁り湯で気持ち良いが古すぎるが故少し清潔感がないように見えてしまった。割と狭いのでもう少しゆっくり入れるお風呂だと良いなと思いました。

Wir waren das erst Mal in einem Ryokan und wussten nicht, was auf uns zukommen wird. Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig, mit eigener Toilette und Waschbecken. Die Duschen sind im Onsen-Bereich (Gemeinschaftsduschen). Die Betten werden täglich vom Personal hergerichtet. Man schläft auf einem Futon auf dem Boden, was zugegebenermaßen ziemlich hart ist. Eine Erfahrung war es aber wert. Der Onsen-Bereich ist sehr groß, mit Bädern im Innen- und Außenbereich. Das ist definitiv auch eine Erfahrung wert einmal in so einem heißen Thermalwasser zu sitzen und zu entspannen. Das Frühstück und Abendessen werden im Haupthaus serviert. Es sind jeweils Mahlzeiten mit vielen kleinen Gerichten, bei denen man meistens nicht weiß, was man isst. Darauf muss man sich einlassen können, ansonsten würden wir das Essen nicht empfehlen. Der Kellner ist super freundlich gewesen und hat uns auch gezeigt, wie und in welcher Reihenfolge man was isst. Insgesamt war es eine spannende und neue Erfahrung für uns. Einen Tipp für alle, die nach uns kommen: das Hotel bietet einen Shuttle-Service von Gora-Station aus an. Da Gora sehr am Hang liegt und wir uns mit unseren Koffern die 100 Höhenmeter zu Fuß hochgekämpft haben, würden wir empfehlen bei Ankunft am Bahnhof die Unterkunft anzurufen und nach dem Shuttle zu fragen. Per Cable-Car und Ropeway waren Hakone und der Lake Ashi super zu erreichen, beides und auch das Schiff auf dem See waren in den Hakone FreePass inkludiert.

Love the room and the balcony I was suprised we got. The dinner was wonderful too, something you would get at a nice restaurant. The staff were amazing and so helpful and truly kind.

This was a delightful stay for our family. The hotel checkin was a breeze, and the staff was so friendly and kind. They gave a very good overview of the stay, what to expect and where to find things. The meals were wonderful. Beautifully presented and tasty. We also had accommodations for Vegetarian and Vegan diners which made it an all inclusive experience for our group.

Friendly and attentive staff. The food was amazing! Honestly better than some of the premium hotels in Hakone.

Nice and traditional ryokan with onsen facilities in beutiful Gora. Short walking distance from the Gora cable car. Very nice and interesting Japanese dinner and breakfast included. Great experience to eat wearing our yukatas, available in our room.

Nice traditional Japanese dinner and breakfast. Room with traditional Japanese tatami for sleeping. Staff are very nice welcoming and friendly. They even offer us a ride when we checkout. We travel with 2 children and they been very accommodating to our needs. Facilities provided 24hrs access to men and women public hot spring bath tub. There are also a private bath hot spring tub just for individual family to use. Overall been very happy with our stay on this roykan.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would recommend staying here if you’re looking for a traditional Ryokan.

Die Unterkunft ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, das Personal beim Essen ist sehr freundlich.

Unfortunately this was not a satisfactory property, especially by Japanese standards. One should think of it as a budget Ryokan option. On a positive note: the food--all Japanese style--was very good. But the building itself is in sore need of a big renovation and makeover. The carpets are horribly discoloured, presumably clean but they appear dirty. The walls in general need to be repainted. Doors need to be replaced. Many other details need looking after. The smell in the building is not very pleasant. The onsen was small and uninviting. Various mats on the floor didn't give one confidence that all was clean. Staff in general was friendly and accommodating, though some of the male responses to requests were a bit gruff.

Lovely remote location but physical place is a little dated in the interior. The staff was delightfully friendly. The food was plentiful but this was my first experience with it and not sure what i was eating most of the time, lots of unknowns so, i will reserve comment except that it was plentiful and beautifully presented.

Good place to stay, but they gave me smaller room not I had booked. Service was good, good was so delicious!

가격대비 잘 다녀왔습니다. 다만 계단이 너무 많았습니다.

まず、温泉の質が最高でした！ 硫黄を満喫できる良いお湯です。 食事もとても美味しく、お部屋はコンパクトですが、最低限の設備は整ってします。 障子や照明などこだわりも感じます。

主人の還暦のお祝いを兼ねて家族で利用しました。　とても親切にご対応を頂きました。　お料理も大変、満足でした。　是非、機会がありましたらリピートしたいです。
