Six Senses KYOTO

It was a luxury hotel but was not stuffy. Outside was deceptive. Hoyel was very pretty inside and the staff were very helpful. I just loved staying there

What a beautiful oasis in the middle of Kyoto! Every single attention to detail was made. Rooms were gorgeous, food was amazing, staff was very helpful and friendly. Easily one of the finest hotels I have stayed in, period. Only room for improvement was that I wished they had more lunch options, it was merely the dinner menu (and dinner prices) for lunch.

ベッドルーム、おそらく布物が少し匂った。また、レストランのホールスタッフのカタコトの日本語が誰も聞き取れず、諦められたのか英語で接客された。(そしてその方がスムーズだったのは皮肉だ) 料理はとてもよく、設備や内装は美しい。サービスのお菓子もとてつもなく美味しかった。

Nothing short of an amazing experience. Staff was super nice and rooms are big and beautiful. Also enjoyed the spa and gym. I will come again!

Sehr schöne Zimmer, auch wenn unseres aufgrund der Lage etwas dunkel war. Das Personal war freundlich, jedoch schien das Team gelegentlich leicht unterbesetzt, was zu Verzögerungen beim Turndown führte. Das Spa ist wunderbar, und meine Massage war hervorragend – die Erfahrung meiner Mutter fiel allerdings etwas gemischt aus. Insgesamt ein angenehmer Aufenthalt, jedoch würde ich in dieser Preisklasse beim nächsten Mal vermutlich ein anderes Hotel in Betracht ziehen.

What truly made our stay unforgettable was the outstanding care from the Kids Club team —Saki and Kaori. They went above and beyond for our 8-year-old son, creating moments of joy, learning, and connection that he will never forget. From fun activities to teaching him the art of origami, they brought so much warmth and magic to his days. Their kindness and attention made our stay feel deeply special. The reception team was equally impressive — attentive, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything we needed. Every interaction felt genuine and gracious. Six Senses Kyoto is a sanctuary of beauty and calm, but it’s the people who made it truly exceptional. We are grateful for this experience and can’t wait to return.

Staff were amazing, our only regret is that we didn’t book a longer stay here! We will be back for sure! Totally worth it!

We had a very comfortable stay at the Six Senses Kyoto. Very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely room and we appreciated the welcome snacks! Great breakfast buffet with lots of interesting choices!

Wow this property was unbelievable!!! My husband and I came for our honeymoon and from the moment we walked in they made us feel so special. Shoutout to Jenn, Yoshi and Mizuki for making our stay extra special. They all made such nice personal touched throughout our stay which made it that much better. 12/10 stars thank you so much for providing an experience we’ll never be able to forget.
