Veranda Grand Baie Hotel & Spa

The staff was very friendly and very helpful. Room was very clean and the air conditioning worked perfectly.

This a truly lovely hotel and we had a fabulous two week stay. The location is fantastic you can easily walk into Grand Baie for dinner or shopping. It was easy to find and ideal for exploring the island. The views from the pool and the beach are of the stunning harbour, where there is lots of boats coming and going, which was fun to watch. The hotel grounds and communal areas are very classy and well maintained. The hotel activities were really well organised by an excellent team, we attended rum tasting and a cooking demonstration. Our apartment was lovely and kept very clean, with excellent AC. All of the staff we met were lovely, they seemed happy to be there and enjoyed talking to the guests which makes for a very pleasant stay. I would especially like to thank the ladies in the hotel shop who looked after me very well. The parking was handy too as we hired a car. The only tiny problem we came across for the whole stay was the beach bar lunchtime food, it seemed very badly organised, taking up to an hour for food to arrive, it was lovely when we eventually received it. I would recommend this hotel as a really great place to stay, don’t hesitate to book.

Siamo tornati dopo tanto tempo in questo resort per trascorrere il nostro 30° anniversario di matrimonio ed immediatamente siamo stati stupefatti dalla calorosa accoglienza dimostrataci dal tutto lo staff, in particolare Ajay è stato veramente gentile nei nostri confronti. La struttura è immersa in parco tropicale con una bella piscina con vista su Grand Baie, una delle migliori località di Mauritius dove è possibile fare shopping ed anche passeggiare la sera. L’hotel offre la possibilità di praticare svariati sport acquatici molti dei quali gratuiti. C’è anche una piccola palestra, un campo per giocare a bocce, tavoli da ping pong e la possibilità di noleggiare delle bici. La cucina è internazionale a buffet, come anche la colazione: entrambe sono molto ricche e complete; per i più romantici, c’è anche la possibilità di cenare a lume di candela direttamente sulla spiaggia del resort (cosa che consigliamo vivamente di fare). L’intrattenimento serale prevede musica dal vivo, alcuni spettacoli di danza locale e la possibilità di sorseggiare un drink al bar “La Crique” direttamente sulla spiaggia godendosi un meraviglioso tramonto. Le camere sono ben spaziose e complete di televisore, frigo bar e asciuga capelli, dotate anche di comodi ventilatori a soffitto in alternativa all’aria condizionata che è comunque disponibile. Mauritius rappresenta una meta da sogno dove il mare e la spiaggia sono un vero paradiso e le possibili escursioni nell'interno con panorami mozzafiato
