The hotel is in two beautiful, traditional Amsterdam buildings and we had a room

Room not very nice at all. Very narrow with no bedside tables so can’t put anything next to you. Have to get out of bed by the bottom of the bed! Not very clean down by the side of the bed. Canal view - small porthole type windows. Pictures are over advertising the canal aspect. Room needs a good redecoration. Bathroom slightly better. Shut the bathroom door and the whole shower rail fell off. Water everywhere after a shower as shower curtain not waterproof! The only saving grace is the staff. They are lovely and very friendly and a nice touch we had a note with a gift left on the bed after a day out, clearly listened to what we had said we were doing as a trip. Also the free open bar daily was a bonus. Sadly disappointed in this hotel!

The hotel has a great location and offers a lovely view — definitely one of its strongest advantages. It’s close to key areas and easy to access, which makes it a convenient spot for exploring the city. The room itself is quite nice, especially the bathroom, which is spacious and modern. However, the overall experience was disappointing in terms of upkeep and comfort. There is no daily housekeeping service, and after three nights, the lack of cleaning starts to show — trash accumulates, towels aren’t replaced, and surfaces get dusty. Refreshments, water bottles, and coffee pods are also not replenished daily, which is rather surprising for a hotel setting. When asked, the staff mentioned that this is part of the hotel policy — they don’t provide daily cleaning if the stay is short. The problem is, most guests likely stay only a few days, so this policy doesn’t really make sense in practice. Another issue is the lack of integrated heating. The room only had a small portable heater that plugged into the wall, which is far from sufficient in cooler weather. The air conditioning wasn’t working, and to make things less convenient, there’s no elevator in the building, which can be tiring if you’re carrying luggage to upper floors. Despite the lovely view and friendly staff, the hotel’s infrastructure and maintenance policies make it feel more like a serviced apartment than a full hotel experience.

It would have been worth upgrading to a canal view room as my room faced the Main Street which was very noisy. There is no lift and very narrow stairs make heavy suitcases difficult. There is no aircon so my room was very hot.

We enjoyed a beautiful view of the canal. Our room was spacious for 3 people and the bathroom was quite large. We didn't mind walking up the stairs. The staff were amazing and always available to help us. The lounge offered drinks and snacks from 4-6 that made our stay enjoyable. I would highly recommend staying here.

Não havia elevadores e a escada de acesso ao subsolo era em caracol! Nenhum funcionário para ajudar com as malas. A limpeza do quarto não foi feita nenhum dia. O happy hour gratuito deixa muito a desejar.

It was an excellent stay for the week I was there. Staff was friendly, room was always cleaned and prepared after a long day. Near the metro and tram stops which was very helpful and things to do around the hotel was walking distance!
