Novotel Rotorua Lakeside

We loved the spa and how friendly the staff were. My daughter loved the way we were welcomed.

Our favourite interaction was with Sunny. She was warm, friendly and a great laugh. It set the tone for our stay, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Thanks Sunny! You’re the best x

Service was mediocre. Room service is childish with a doggy bag and while I was assured my car will be in the front waiting for me at 7am I arrived and the car was not there and they told me it would take 15minutes.

Family-friendly hotel. Good weekend away

Needs a good clean, bathroom was blocked and dirty black mold in the bath. Carpets are run down badly n it smelled

Novotel used to be my preferred choice for many years, but this stay fell well below the standard I’ve come to expect. From the poor reception service to the worn-out carpet and outdated bathroom, I was disappointed throughout my stay. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning.

First time at Novotel. Once stepped into the room I already got bitten by fleas on my feet and legs. Carpet needs deep cleaning and couch have stains in them. Never felt uncomfortable ever in a hotel. Staffs are excellent with the service and have provided us a new room and felt a little relieved because the crawlies subsided but the toilets are dirty and have stained in the bath in shower and the ceiling is also dirty and rotting. The hotel needs renovation and is tired. I praised the staffs for being accommodating and helpful though.

Very nice

Breakfast offers has fantastic with many varieties. It was a great stay the bed is comfortable and staff was very helpful. Plenty of parking around.

The hotel stay was lovely. Service was excellent, and the meals were absolutely fantastic - there is not one thing we could order that didn’t taste like it was from a high end restaurant, and we ordered quite a few things. Over our 4 days of stay, spas were unfortunately either under maintenance or not hot enough and a bit mossy.

The staff and location are brilliant but the rooms are tired and need a refresh. Clean & tidy, but we had issues with the aircon & toilet not working properly.

Great place to stay

It as its own spa. Friendly staff and excellent breakfast. The only thing downside is that the bathroom and the building is a bit tired, although very clean for its age. May need a renovation soon. The bed was clean and the mattress was excellent. Highly recommended.

Nice place very modern and convenient

Great stay at Novotel. Comfy bed/pillows. Great breakfast. Right next door are multiple choices of eateries. Parking is on the street or paid secure next door. Park and lake right opposite. It was at the centre of all our activities by car so very convenient.

Close to everything. Only saw staff at check in. Clean tidy rooms. Comfortable bed. Few things they could fix. Someone's food tray left in corridor from Friday to Sunday. Yougart was starting to smell. Didn't replace towels used on first nights stay so ran short of towels.

An awesome weekend away Faboulus from the start Dylan at Reception was awesome, i had a request on my reservation for top floor so he changed our booking the available room on the 5th floor, the view was priceless. We had the lake twin. Beds super comfy with nice pillows. Spa and pool are very good, we didnt know there is a private spa too but the included ones are what we needed. Great practical gym. Breakfast was yummy and had great range, they made burritos which was lovely. Staff at kitchen and Restaurant very helpful and welcoming. Oh dont forget there was a juice maker, soft serve ice cream maker and smoothi maker all on the breakfast package so you can use these too 👌👌👌... My boy super enjoyed his breakie and the location is far from brilliant, Eat street just there and the newly built Lake Front playground and picnic area just in the front . They had a small kids play zone and also a room to store ur bikes... Cant fault at all. Will definitely stay again 👌
