Hotel Los Balcones Leon

The front desk welcome and check in went well. The air conditioning didn’t work in the first room we got. The young guy at the front desk spoke English well and was very helpful and found us another room. The air worked well and it had a fan. When we tried to increase the fan speed, it wobbled a lot so we kept it at the low speed. The rooms were not very clean with spider webs. The bedding was clean, but the bed was not that comfortable. The shower pressure was good, but the bathroom tap had almost no pressure. Nice decor but just needs some attention to make it a really nice place. The breakfast which was included was good.

This hotel is a wonderful find! The courtyard is absolutely incredible—it's a beautiful and peaceful space that makes the entire hotel feel so cozy and inviting. The rooms were decent and very comfortable, and the air conditioning worked perfectly, which was a huge plus. We were also so impressed with the staff; everyone was exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. Our only minor wish is that the hotel had a more robust bar and restaurant. While the current offerings are fine, a more extensive menu and bar would really complete the experience. We had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend this hotel for its charm, friendly staff, and amazing courtyard. We'd definitely return.

Central in Leon, close to ViaVia to organise volcano tours. A lot of restaurants around. Room is basic bit has everything I needed

Good location close to cental plaza, central market/local buses with lots of dining options within seven blocks. The hotel had air conditioning and hot water in shower. Room was clean but swimming pool was not. Staff was helpful.

I have what I paid But I think it doesn't need to be a super expensive place to be clean and well maintained Bathroom 1 star The 5 stars only is for quite place and walkable to downtown

The hotel itself is nice. It could use some upgrades. Pool needs cleaning. Staff is lovely and helpful. Breakfast is delicious and free.

Staying there was a horrible experience. I was very noisy, really dirty bathroom, almost not running water at the sink, only one electrical socket in a room accommodating 3 adults. It’s terrible

Was my worst experience in a hotel in Nicaragua I would never recommend a hotel everything about the hotel was terrible. The restroom the wall the room itself the front desk help.

las habitaciones no tenian buen olor, tuvimos que pedir que nos cambiaran, luego de eso no te explican al llegar que no tienen servicio de restaurante ( que si deseas puedes pedirlo llegando), el desayuno bien aceptable, no tiene parqueo y te dicen dejelo ahi si hay lugar enfrente sino debe de buscar,

The bedrooms are not like the photos. Old wooden dirty floors, stains on the ceiling, no parking, noisy.

The hotel is located right in downtown. The area is pretty safe and it’s still close to a lot of nice restaurants and other attractions. The hotel itself has a lot of potential but lacks a bit of maintenance. We booked a king size bedded room and all they have is double beds. The staff is very accommodating and willing to solve any issues you may run into and give you a good bunch of valuable information about the city. We asked to be moved to a room with two double beds (because we’re both big guys) - they were able to give us a larger room. However, the shower is not the best and since the rooms face the main roads, the noise wakes you up before 5am. We asked for a room not facing the street, the one they gave us had a single and a double bed and a better shower. The A/C was leaking a bit of water. On our check out day, water pump broke and had to use a downstairs bathroom because there was not enough water pressure in our room. You can ask for blankets at the front desk because their beds only have sheets that might not keep you cozy if you keep the A/C on. Breakfast is fair, the give you three options to choose from: typical,American or pancakes. Finally, the pool is nice but it still needs more maintenance. Overall, if you don’t mind the noise and want to stay in a convenient location, this is your place. Hopefully, your stay will be free of small inconveniences and note that this is merely objective based on our experience, no intention to damage the hotel’s image.
