Ideal location with a short walk to harbour/fish restaurants. Staff couldn’t do more to welcome and assist.

Great location, clean rooms, chose room with Nespresso machine. Staff helpful and friendly. Bed was comfortable, nice down bedding and choice of down pillows, slept great. Breakfast was very good with lots of choices, very fresh. Walking distance to lots of shops and restaurants about 12 minute walk to Havila Port. Safe City for solo female travelers. Would stay again.

Just returned from a 4- night stay at Thon Briston in beautiful Bergen. The trip was a reunion with my family in Europe and I cannot be happier for choosing this hotel. There were 6 of us in this trip, staying in 5 separate rooms, and everyone had only great things to say about our stay in Thon Bristol. When we arrived we found out that the hotel and restaurant workers in Norway had just went on a strike. Some hotels closed their doors, and made their guests to leave, but not Thon Bristol. Can you imagine traveling from the other side of the world only to be told that you have nowhere to stay? We are so grateful to the hotel and their wonderful staff for welcoming us in and making our stay comfortable and memorable. Special thanks goes to the Front Desk staff who were friendly, helpful and professional. All our rooms were beautiful, clean and comfortable- perfect for getting some rest after a busy day exploring stunning Bergen. Breakfast was included with the stay, and what a breakfast it was! The food was perfectly prepared( compliments to the chef), beautifully arranged, and the variety was better than some of the grand 5- star hotels I have stayed at. There were even local specialties, like the famous brown cheese, and because of that, it “ gained “ 6 new followers, with packs of it going home with my family. The location of the hotel is perfect- 5 min to the harbour, the Fish Market and everything else. Thank you, Thon Bristol Bergen, for a wonderful stay!

Thon Bristol var mycket bra. Rent och bekvämt rum, fantastisk frukost med allt man kan önska sig. Dessutom låg hotellet bara c:a 10 minuters gångväg till båtterminalen. Man kunde ställa in bagaget i flera timmar, när man checkat ut. Dessutom kunde man sitta i lobbyn och dricka gratis kaffe och kolsyrat vatten. Det var också mycket säkert, det krävdes ett rumskort för att komma till hissarna.

Staff were attentive and friendly. Wonderful choice for breakfast. Location is excellent and walkable to main tourist spots. Lots of restaurants within 10 minutes. The only downside for us were the beds which were small and soft and being used to a hard one was different. That said we would definitely stay here again.

Rooms great, a friendly run hotel with the best free inclusive breakfast in Bergen. Central for everything, it's the place to stay when visiting Bergen!

Our room was very nice. The staff was very helpful and friendly. When I asked him about the funicular, he felt that we should do both, the funicular and the cable car! Breakfast was wonderful. When I asked the cook, if he would make some hot chocolate, he proceeded to make the Hot Chocolate and puts his other tools down. Cast corner from the hotel, is a 4 story mall!

If you want to visit Bergen on a budget then this hotel is in an ideal position just off the main shopping street. Although bright modern and really good breakfast rooms are small and bathrooms with walk in shower tiny. Our room 408 was on the forth floor overlooking the street. Room too warm cannot be controlled from room. Asked for it to be turned down but nothing changed. Windows opened but then the noise from student population on Friday and Saturday nights was impossible to sleep so had to close them then far too hot. Ask for room at the back and high to be able to have peace and be able to open the windows if room too warm ( it was set at 23c!) The hotel did offer a change of room on our last evening but couldn’t be bothered so they gave us duvet covers to use instead of the thick duvets! Bergen is lovely really recommend and you need at least 4 nights.

Clean, modern room which did the job perfectly. We booked a suite which had a very small bedroom and sitting area used by us with a sofa bed. Space in the main bedroom was very limited but didn't matter too much as we were mostly out and about. Bathroom was also petite and off the bedroom, but modern, clean and nice. Decor was modern and vibrant and the breakfast had an excellent selection to cater to all tastes. Close to the wharf to access the Brygge area and boat tours of the fjord. All in all a good stay.
