Fond Doux Eco Resort

The shower did not work, only the tap below it and the water did not drain. Beautiful view, but shabby chic - definitely needed work. High price for the room with terrible breakfast including the service. Basically everything was empty over half an hour. Could be much better - using Eco as an excuse for poor standards. Much better hotels elsewhere on the island with top notch facilities and service.

Food options quite limited so be prepared to eat elsewhere if staying more than a couple days. Basic, so be prepared. That part of the island is exceptionally amazing.

A delightful place to stay with lovely staff. It was peaceful and in beautiful surroundings. The view of the piton from the path going up the hill at the back of the hotel was just stunning. I loved sitting at the bar trying the delicious cocktails and the food in the restaurant was great too. I felt really well looked after. Thank you to the hotel team.

We had a lovely time at the resort, the property is absolutely beautiful, very green and serene with beautiful flowers and all kinds different plants and fruit trees, with the name of the fruits. 4 pools were all different and very relaxing. The staff was amazing and everyone made us feel welcomed and went above and beyond to accommodate us at the restaurant. We did encounter some issues with our 2 bedroom villa, Avocado house. We were told that the WiFi was down before booking, however, there were more issues with this villa. We had no way to call reception because phone was down, our microwave didn’t work, so we were unable to heat food. And worse of all, we had lots of bees in the master bathroom, over 12 bees, which startled us and caused a delay in getting ready. Not sure how they entered the villa, I must assume that there is a hole somewhere in the villa. I took a video and pics and showed it to reception but was simply told sorry, with no attempt to contact the manager or offer a reduction in our final bill, considering all the issues we had with the villa. That was disappointing.

I had been on the island for a month when I arrived, and this was a lovely, quiet way to end my time in St Lucia. Beautiful

Fond Deux is a gem. I definitely recommend taking the chocolate making tour, and maybe buying a few more bars from the gift shop! We stayed in a hillside cottage; bring good shoes because there was a lot of walking and steps to get to our cottage. The regular cottages are on level ground, so the walking is easier to get to those. Definitely find the Piton scenic trail behind the restaurant; it took less than an hour, and had the most magnificent view. Well worth the hike; the first half is dirt-stairs, most of the last part is boulders. The restaurant was amazing for dinner- everything we had was perfect. The frogs are quite loud at night, so if you're a light sleeper, maybe bring ear plugs. We rented a car and drove to the Tet Paul trail, sulphur springs, and Soufriere. You cannot walk to anything outside of the resort. The resort itself is covered in fruit trees; it was the most beautiful stay, and we loved finding out about fruits not native to us.

Lovely! Unique stay; our only shower was outdoors but we enjoyed it. Great view from hike on property! Enjoyed the pools. The chocolate tour was fun.

Peaceful tranquil surroundings, surrounded by the amazing rain forest of south St Lucia.

Beautiful property, wonderful and clean rooms. We had a villa with our own pool and outdoor shower. Awesome and kind staff. Welcomed with a refreshing drink and personally walked to our room. An awesome fresh and delicious breakfast buffet every morning.

We had a nice stay here, staff very friendly and helpful on arrival, we were given a welcome cocktail before being shown to our room which was beautiful, had air con and a 4 poster bed. There was a fourth pool which was nice, but there was only 1 restaurant (neither of the 2 listed on here) and many of the items on the menu weren't available. It was odd, you chose the dish and the chef on that day served whatever he felt like in the vicinity of your choice... breakfast the first day was a variety buffet and thereafter was a very limited set menu which again they served what they wanted. The bar was a little limited, again lots of things were unavailable and each server made the drinks differently so you could never get the same thing twice. The bar closed early every night which was a shame as there was nothing else to do after dark. We didn't have any hot water but given the climate we were ok with this. Unfortunately, there were works going on while we were there so we were subjected to chainsaws and workmen shouting while we were trying to relax. At night, we had a bird in our roof that made a loud chirping at all hours. We found fond doux very expensive, and all costs were subject to 17% (service and tax) so costs stacked. The free beach shuttle was good but still quite a walk, and the taxi was expensive and late both ways. They priced everything in US$ but then charged us in EC$ so we were charged extra for this currency. It was a bit of a mixed bag but overall good!

Staying here was a dream. We stayed in a cottage, up in the hills, set all the way back in the rainforest. It was quiet, romantic, and tranquil. The staff were friendly, kind, and helpful throughout the entire trip. Our cab and shuttle drivers were amazing and informed us of the history of St. Lucia as we drove. The resort offers a free shuttle to Sugar Beach, which has a section of chairs you can pay for or a section for free (first come basis). The dining options at Fond Doux were delicious, fresh, and used local ingredients. We really enjoyed the cuisine. The pools on the property were great. One of them has an outdoor area with a wall of books. Another, newer pool, has tables and a beautiful view of the rainforest. Overall, we were so happy with our experience and would absolutely come back to stay in the future.

The private pool needs to be heated. It's hard paying that kind of money and you can't you the pool

Amazing resort set in the side of. Mountain. Beautifully maintained grounds and rooms/cottages. Hiking trails, pools, a chocolate factory all on-site. We had a hotel room. It had a front patio, refrigerator, large shower w hot water--all super clean. The restaurant was good, but pricey. Staff was very helpful and we wanted for nothing. We would definitely stay here again.

Fond Doux Resort is an absolute gem and we enjoyed it so much more than anticipated! From the moment I arrived, I felt surrounded by the most beautiful, untouched nature. The sounds of birds, tree frogs, and rustling leaves were constant companions, making it feel like I was truly immersed in the rainforest. Everywhere I turned, there were towering trees, colorful flowers, and fruit hanging from branches—it felt so alive and vibrant. We stayed in the cottage furthest away, which meant walking through the forest and up a series of stairs to get there. At first, we thought it might get tiring, but honestly, it was magical every single time. I found myself wishing I could do that walk every day—again and again—because it made me feel so connected to the nature around me. Our cottage was so private, and so many birds came to visit, almost like they were just as curious about us as we were about them! We also loved spending time at the pool, soaking in the beautiful views and just enjoying the peacefulness of the resort. I was truly so sad to leave. In fact, before checking out, I even walked back up to our cottage one last time, just to see it again and take in the moment. If you love nature, the sounds of the rainforest and want an authentic St. Lucian experience, Fond Doux is the place to be!! I absolutely loved my stay and I shall cherish my time there. Thank you!!
