Didn't have breakfast Staff okay Room clean Not enough sugar milk in room Not great heating Requested an extra quilt which didnt turn up . Bathroom tap doesn't show hot and cold . Possibly a health and safety issue .

The hotel is located in the city center, but parking is a bit problematic. There is a paid on-site parking area with space for only 12 cars. The hotel is clean and quiet, and the view is very nice. However, the beds definitely need to be replaced with proper, more comfortable ones.

Hotel was nice, a bit tired and rough around the edges, bed was comfy and nice shower. Unfortunately our toilet was broken and was completely running.

I was incredibly disappointed with my room. I paid extra to stay here and it was a case of false advertising with the photos. The room was Mercure prices but miles away from usual Mercure standards.

Clean room, staff friendly. Only improvement would be power socket at side of bed for charging phone, but I do realise that involves rewiring.

Last stayed in this hotel about 7 years ago. Booked into a suite which was still great value. It’s an older hotel but very well maintained, Breakfast was excellent too. Great location in the city center.

The hotel was really nice but the only thing is the rooms need a little work.

Lovely place, some bits need attention, our room had a very creaky floor a large crack in the ceiling and damaged flooring in the bathroom. Good breakfast, sausages weren't cheap and nasty things.

Great old historic hotel with great views of the park and local churches. About a 4 block walk to the train station. Good shopping I booked this property even with mixed reviews, because it was important to me that I got a hotel within walking distance of the train station. The hotel entrance did not disappoint me. I had booked a suite to relax. What bothered me, which I why I gave this hotel a 3, was that for the price I was paying, they installed a small very noisy space heater, because none of the main heating system was working in the 300 sf double room suite. I turned it off before dinner and after dinner it was very cold. So I went to front desk if I could be moved to a heated room and was told I would have to wait till tomorrow. I didn't sleep well over the night. The space heater was noisy and then the rooms got to hot. Today I am in a different suite where the heating is working. My question is why sell one the most expensive rooms when the heat is not working, or why not move me the same night to any room and offer a cash discount for the inconvenience. I do want to say that the evening dinner and the breakfast were very satisfactory. In moving to my new room, I noticed that the shower head was missing. Front desk advised me that on a monthly basis all shower faucets are removed and cleaned. If it wasn't for my cold suite on arrival, I would have ranked it a 5.
