Fantastic weekend! Beautiful hotel with lovely attentive staff. We were thoroughly looked after all weekend. The communal rooms are so cosy and the sea view from the lounge and restaurant were stunning. Restaurant food was absolutely delicious and the drinks menu was wonderful. Loved the scottish gin menu. Would definitely come back.

View is beautiful as hotel is on the water. Breakfast is interesting in that you order the night before, but it works well and is excellent. Staff was extremely friendly. Parking is available but limited, so if the hotel is full you will pay for parking unless you arrive between 6pm and 9pm.

All good, except the receptionist/waitress for breakfast.
She was very brusque and short, as though “we” were putting her out.
We sense she needs additional help, as in not enough staff. And we sense she’s not being managed.
On leaving there was minimal interaction.
Won’t stay again sadly as the hotel itself was pleasant.

Probably the most beautifully decorated hotel I've ever stayed. However, the toilet was extremely difficult to flush, someone put gum on the door frame to the ensuite, and parking was very tight. Food was excellent. Should get five stars for how gorgeous the hotel is.

Exceptionally welcoming and helpful staff. Breakfast was a feast. Cozy library and sitting rooms in which to enjoy tea or something stronger after a day out were wonderful. Lovely room.

Wonderful boutique hotel with friendly staff and fabulous breakfast options - also great breakfast playlist and fast service if you’re on route to the ferry- we’d definitely recommend this hotel if you’re ok with walking a bit further to the downtown area in exchange for a wonderful hotel with great service.

Beautiful boutique hotel. Very nicely decorated. Room was small but very comfortable. We had dinner & breakfast in the restaurant and both were excellent. The location was fantastic. It overlooks a beautiful bay - great sunset. Easy, safe walking to the busy downtown. Highly recommend.

Overall we had a really good experience at this hotel, the staff were all very friendly and accommodating and the room was well furnished and clean. The complimentary breakfast was also delicious.
The only downside we found was that since we were on the ground floor and the building is quite old, we could very clearly hear people moving around in the room above us, which made it quite difficult to get to sleep when they didn’t stop moving until about 1am. Obviously this is not the hotels fault, but in future I would request a room on the first floor.
Overall we had a great stay and would definitely book again.
