The Old Rectory Inn

Clean room. Very courteous.

De kamer was oud en slecht onderhouden; scheuren in het gestucte plafond, vieze kozijnen, oude gordijnen en vieze plekken op de voer in de badkamer. De bedden en matrassen waren oud en aan vervanging toe. Ook stond er op de site dat er een gezellige sfeer was, maar de keuken was dicht. Ontbijt prima en mensen uiterst vriendelijk.

The owner Tim looked after us well and was very helpful and friendly. Dinner was OK and he went out of his way to provide a veggie dinner for one of my friends.

We had a lovely stay. Comfy bed, lovely big room with en suite bathroom overlooking the driveway at the front of the property. Ideal for keeping an eye on our parked motorcycles. Evening meal was lovely, lots to choose from off the menu. Breakfast was also very good, lots of choice from either a buffer or hot food menu. Property also had a bar and outside seating area. We arrived on a day that didnt have any entertainment on which was ideal for us as we wanted a quiet relaxing stay. We would definately stay again. This is not a modern property, but an older style property. Had everything we needed.

Bathroom area requires maintenance because what appeared to be "temporary" repairs to shower surround and mould around base of shower needs to be dealt with. Breakfast was excellent. Sound insulation needs to be improved. Car parking restricted due to too many gazebos in the area. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Ideally located for exploring the local area The Old Rectory is clean and comfortable with everything you need. Friendly, welcome host and a fab breakfast to set you up for the day.

A warm welcome on arrival. A nice clean spacious room with all you would need for your stay. Friendly staff in the bar and food available if required and a large beer garden to enjoy if the weather is good. Plenty of choice for breakfast.

Lovely staff made us feel welcome which lead to us being able to relax. The hotel is really homely the staff lovely and the breakfast was fab

The Rectory Inn is a unique place to stay in this part of Scotland. Tx Tim and Peter! When you do, perhaps you are also lucky that the folkband Pure Malt is playing ... what an evening ... perfect!

A lovely little hotel with friendly staff. Lots if local amenities.

We booked two rooms in July for a trip in May of 2025. We received an email the night before our arrival stating “sorry they overbooked” and we were out. There is only 4 rooms total in the place. No assistance with a refund…they are fraudulent.

Nice friendly place with a great selection of whisky.
