Check in attended by friendly staff, waited sometime for my room. Room was cozy and love the bidet toilet. Strategic location with shopping malls, Don donki, cafes, MRT Station and everything under the hotel which is super convenient. Staffs from front office, housekeeping and concierge are friendly and helpful. Will definitely return for stay again.

Very best location; Just across the bus station, 2 taxi stand, few step to MRT station, and restaurant around this hotel. Good hotel for those with light luggage, they provide their own trolley to bring your stuff by yourself. Room not too big, but enough space for those light traveler and light luggage. Room is clean, cozy, enough light provide, complete amenities as well, and self ice cube dispenser with vending machine in every floor. Nice selection breakfast, but unfortunately I got dirty glass for my coffee, beside that everything good. Very like the rooftop view and the pool, good gym, and clean area. We really enjoy our stay here, and will stay here again

Lovely staycation with club. Room. Room was clean and comfortable. Chilling time refreshment was good with all the beverages. Buffet breakfast was good too. Luckily managed to swim 6laps due to thunderstorms everyone has to go up. Late check out was not available so sad 😥

In short: do NOT recommend the hotel as it is not “Shangri-La” service standard at all. If you decided for it, do not choose because of “by Shangri-La” part as you may get extremely disappointed. Positive: Location is great just on top of MRT and shopping mall, which is especially suitable for tourists. Room on corners (Perhaps such as rooms ending with 12) toward Orchard road have a nice and unique view. The reception staff are kind and helpful and also allowed early check-in, and arranged for a chocolate gift anniversary (which I am thankful for). Swimming pool is very nice, with warm temperature, jacuzzi, nice view, and even tubes and lifeguard. Breakfast spread and quality is good. Negative: Hotel seem to be short of staff. Room in the first few hours had a moist smell, which feels like the hotel is already a bit old. There is no special feeling about being in Club room except the view of lounge [this is by far the worst and emotionless club lounge we ever been]. In the JEN lounge there is no greetings or welcoming, no one serves drinks, tables are not cleaned before evening session, and even food items refill quite slowly (although some staff were polite to help). Some staff are young and unprofessional, and at times offensive. At the breakfast there is a special child who keep shouting at restaurant and also at lobby lift for an hour, which had scared and surprised many including us; However, there were no mitigation step taken from the restaurant manager, Daniel. We sat just next to that family [with the guidance of him without being told about the condition, instead he brought an irrelevant reason “near window is cold in rainy day”]. This had completely ruined the breakfast morning peace and taste. However, upon talking to Daniel, he was polite and willing to improve, although did not do any follow up as he promised himself. The unforgivable negative experience happened in lounge (where we are supposed to feel premium and exclusive) with the day shift staff Jing Hao. He is constantly watching others to see when they come to table, what they take and what they eat, which makes us very unease. This gets worse and extremely offensive when he intentionally push or place the “please do not bring utensils/cutleries sign” to my partner only when we go to take drinks (not once, but, twice!). First of all, this is very weird that a esteemed hotel under “Shangri-la” has such sign in club lounge (the most premium type, which I assume they do not need to take utensils/cutleries!), and I cannot digest JEN hotel have a staff who offend/unease guests for its most premium types of rooms. In conclusion, the service is not at all “Shangri-La” standard, hence, do not expect anything from the hotel. The F&B and Lounge is more like “Grab and Go and Eat” without any other service. The hotel can be good only for tourists mainly due to location and view. For staycations and club, it was just a bad memory, thus, AVOID here. There are many more better places including Shangri-La Orchard per se, which at least “they will care about you”.
