Really service minded staff

Clean and very comfortable. Staff was helpful and the best sell of this hostel is the location. It's 2 mins walk from Royal palace. 19 mins walking from Pardo muesem and central park. Room balcony opens to main Street and it's buzzing till 12am. Front desk is available from 2pm to 10pm . We stayed here for 3 nights and didn't even once needed to take metro to anywhere. Everything is at walking distance. From airport you need to change 2 metros to get to Sol station and from Sol station it's 10 mins walk to this place. Booking this place saved us lot of time and money we could have spent if staying somewhere else. Worth every penny

According to the information at hotels.com, it's a 3-star hotel. However, that is NOT the case since it's a 1-star hotel; which we found out while arriving to the hotel. The bed was OK, otherwise, everything was pretty bad.

Room was good size and really clean, all new furniture and massive tv. The bathroom was a bit small and beds were a bit hard - but overall comfortable. The hotel is in a great location! I would stay here again

A hospedagem se concentra no segundo pavimento de um edifício antigo, com quartos renovados. O quarto nos surpreendeu positivamente pelo tamanho, com antessala e sofá no quarto. A jarra que disponibilizam para água quente é ótima para o inverno. A localização central é muito boa, em viela tranquila.

Perfectly situated in centre of Madrid. Easy check-in/out. Lovely modern room with comfy and spacious bed.

Very comfortable stay at this clean and spacious hotel. It is perfectly situated in the city centre of Madrid with many points of interest within walking distance of the property, making it very convenient.

El hotel está muy bien ubicado, pero la realidad del lugar no corresponde con las fotos, que muestran un espacio mejor conservado. Cuenta con pocas habitaciones, situadas en el segundo piso de un edificio en muy mal estado. El piso estaba pegajoso y, tras caminar unos pasos en calcetines, estos acabaron negros, lo que sugiere que no estaba realmente limpio. La regadera tenía mucho moho. Llegamos muy tarde para el check-in, pero, habiendo leído comentarios de otros huéspedes, informamos al hotel con anticipación. Nos enviaron un código, pero era incorrecto y no abría la puerta principal. Por suerte, alguien pudo ayudarnos, de lo contrario, nos habríamos quedado fuera. Recomendaría este hotel como alternativa a un hostal, pero no me hospedaría aquí de nuevo. Sin embargo, el personal siempre fue muy amable.

Para empezar, no debería llamarse hotel, es más bien un hostal o apartamento de Airbnb. Mi primer inconveniente fue llegando. Es un edificio antiguo de apartamentos y el acceso es con código de seguridad. El código que recibí de Hotels.com era uno incorrecto y no podía entrar. Por suerte llegue antes de las 22:00 hr pues en la recepción en el segundo piso solo hay personal de 14:00-22:00 hr. Al llegar me dieron un pedazo de papel, literalmente, con el nombre de mi habitación (Calle de Atocha) y 2 códigos de seguridad, uno para la puerta de entrada y pasillo y otro para la puerta de la habitación. El primer día el WiFi no funcionaba, el sábado me quedé sin agua caliente y empezó a caer agua del aire acondicionado. Como ocurrió en la mañana, se lo deje saber a la empleada de limpieza que me indicó que iba a llamar a la persona correspondiente. Las fotos que se ven en internet son muy diferentes a la realidad. Las habitaciones son totalmente básicas y no se podía usar el balcón pues en los mismos se encuentra la maquinaria del aire acondicionado. El edificio tiene un ascensor, el más pequeño que he visto en mi vida. El área de la recepción es un escritorio y tampoco se parece en nada a la foto en internet. La única cosa positiva que puedo decir es su localización. Pero para $300/noche que pagué, no lo recomiendo ni me vuelvo a quedar allí.

I would have rated this hotel 5-stars had it not been for our experience on the first day. This is not an ordinary hotel, which we actually loved. It feels more like you are living in a small apartment in Madrid. It is a great location, very walkable to all major sights downtown and close to metro lines, restaurants and shopping. The room was clean, the AC was cold and it was surprisingly quiet. Everything we wanted. My only complaint was with hotel management. There is only staff there from 2pm-10pm which we knew. On the day we were to check-in our flight from the US arrived early in the morning. Earlier in the week, I messaged the hotel to inquire if there was any opportunity to drop off our bags. They told me that the day before check-in we would be sent an access code to the building which would allow us to drop off our bags early and then we could come back at 2:00 to check-in (BTW, you need an access code to enter the building at anytime of day). That was the last I heard from them. They never sent me an access code and you couldn’t reach anyone by phone. We arrived that morning with our luggage and no instructions at all. I started messaging with them the day before and all the way till check-in at 2:00 with no response. We ended up finding a luggage locker place a half mile away and stored our stuff there so we could go explore. When we finally came back at 2:30, we had to call to get access, our room wasn’t ready, we had to wait till they could let us into our room.

nice price/quality for a stay in Madrid, reception is not always manned so take your precautions very clean and in good shape

The room is very clean and nice, even though the hotel is in a very old building.
