Los Chozos

This place is hard to rate as it really depends on what you are looking for. Location is 10/10. We loved our stay here. Our goal was to be upon the mountains to do that and this place was perfect. we did several hikes directly from our front door. The views are spectacular, and you are well out of the hustle bustle of the city. There are not a lot of restraunts and you will need to get food and the small stores in ubrique. That being said this is more like glamping than a hotel. The facilities are dark with uncomfortable furniture (hard) and a minimalistic kitchen (we had plenty of spoons but no forks). There is no ac, we were there in the spring so this was not a problem and the rock walls kept things cool, not sure what it would be like in the summer heat. If you are looking for luxury, do not stay here. The place was very clean. No one speaks English so bring google translate on your cellular which will sort of work here. The wifi never worked for us even in the main building. we were told we could’t have breakfast so we made our own.

Todo en su conjunto cumplía nuestra expectativas,personal muy amable. No hay televisión en los chozos ,si es para pequeñas estancias está muy bien ya que desconectas aún más,si vas a estar más tiempo puedes llevarte una ya que tienen toma de antena.

El alojamiento algo anticuado, por lo demás todo bien y rodeado de pura naturaleza. Una maravilla.

La ubicación y el entorno son increíbles. El personal muy agradable y servicial. Las chozas están un poco hechas polvo y diseñadas para dos matrimonios con niños, ya que los baños están dentro de los dormitorios de matrimonio. Hay que pasar por ellos para ir al baño. Son un poco incómodas pero a los niños les encanta

Un lugar muy agradable , tranquilo y muy bonito. Le gusta mucho a los niños

Le site est merveilleux! Les 'chozos' ont un bel emplacement au calme et pas serrés l'un contre l'autre. L'aménagement des 'chozos' est le stricte minimum tant au niveau de l'équipement de la cuisine qu'au niveau salle de bain et literie. Vieux lits durs, draps trop petits, couvertures sales. A l'extérieur une grande table en bois pas stable et 2 chaises en plastique. La cheminée n'arrive pas à chauffer le 'chozos'. Tout petit radiateur électrique d'appoint qui n'arrive pas à chauffer la salle de bain. Nous y sommes allés mi-mars pour 3 jours: beaucoup de travaux sur le site (réparation arrosage > boue devant notre 'chozos', aménagement de la route > bruit de camion, réparation de la toiture du bâtiment principal). On n'arrivait pas à chauffer le 'chozos' qui sentait l'humidité. Donc ne pas y aller aux saisons fraiches! Le petit déjeuner: bon café, toasts grillés, rien de frais (tout en petits pots). Personnel aimable qui ne parle que l'Espagnol.

Beautiful location in the mountains (be aware that it obviously entails mountain roads). Inside, the chozo was much more spacious than it seems from the outside, immaculately clean, and well equipped for preparing simple meals, although the onsite restaurant was very good. Amazing place to connect with nature and disconnect from technology (although wifi has now been installed in all the chozos). Very attentive staff who helped us plan activities e.g. child-friendly walks in the area. The children are already asking when we can go back! (I'm hoping to return when the pool opens in May).

This place has had it peak. The price per day was far to high. Few other guests at the place.

OMG, blissful, if you want peace and quiet, it was mid week low season. Very friendly. Get your provisions before you arrive. The village is a village but lovely.

La limpieza de la habitación así como la calidad del servicio fue excelente. La ubicación del hotel maravillosa con un magnífico paisaje de la sierra gaditana. Han sido unas vacaciones muy relajantes.
