I stayed during new years celebration and the staff and people were kind enough to involve me in the celebrations. It was a once in a lifetime experience. Amazing staff. 👌

Really nice place, with very friendly staff. However, do not expect luxury. It is in the middle of the jungle and there are ants, cockroaches, gekkos etc. And the room does not have mosquito net. It did not bother me, but my girlfriend would not have been comfortable. Still, for the price, i would rate it 5 out of 5 and it worked perfect as two days accomodation for exploring sinharaja. It is directly next to the gate and have beautiful view of the forest and nice infinity swimming pool 👌 The staff was amazing! Really kind and very helpful for organizing tours, transport and what else you need. The breakfast was also good. It comes with sausages, and if you don't like them or don't eat meat, please give them to the dogs of the property. They stole my heart ❤️ The tour guide they set me up with, Mr. Priyanthi, was amazing. Ask for him, if you can 🔥 One of the days, i walked to the nearby hotel and had dinner - Sinharaja Forest Edge - which was also very nice. Consider visiting if you stay for several nights.

Please note that the staffof Sinharaja Forest gate complained that thaey are not getting the money when we book feom expedia. I would kindly request you to make sure they get the money of the booking. I and my family thougrouly enjoyed the stay at Sinharaja forest Gate. The staff is 2100% dedicated and recommend to any who want to have a calm quiet stay in Sinharaja....
