Clean room and helpful staff. Food in restaurant was great. Will definitely stay here again.

Location is very far away from Colombo.

2/5 staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Others are either aloof or chronically absent. Can't find the chef/someone to make lunch or dinner. Breakfast is just as bland as most hotels in the district. Good, modern design! Best looking accommodations in the area for the price. Room was clean and comfy BUT no desk and chair. NO leaks in my room despite many storms. Extremely loud street noise all day and night; vehicles, people, audio slogans etc. Blasting! Sitting area has outlets nowhere that makes sense. Lastly tiny bugs all over the headboard and furniture. No repellent provided. No netting provided. Can of bug spray was provided. However, not one day without a bite or something crawling on me. Guest house is VERY easy to find but take away drivers can never find it, despite big signs and instructions. There are much worst accommodations in the area. Stay here. Pay triple at a 5 star. Or just don't come to Mount Lavinia.

Everything about Tropic Inn is a beautiful experience itself. Every single staff went over and beyond to make our stay memorable .Gave us a home to home feeling. We will definitely return back and going forward will recommend it our family and friends.

Das Zimmer ist schon sehr abgewohnt, das Badfenster konnte nicht geschlossen werden. Statt eines Abflusses im Duschbereich war nur ein großes Loch in der Ecke. Die Balkontüre war im unteren Bereich morsch. Obwohl das Hotel in einer Seitenstraße lag, war es morgens sehr laut, weil alle Eltern ihre Kinder mit Tuk-Tuk, Moped oder Auto zur Schule gebracht haben.

It was great experience. good budget hotel friendly staff. the reception staff were very carin & friendly.

A lovely hotel when there was electricity, the hottest place on Earth when there wasn't (20% of our stay). Rooms were basic but well kept. Staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. We only dined here for breakfast on one occasion as it wasn't up to the same standard as the cheap eateries along the beach. Would stay again.

Stay was bad..in spite of having documentary proof of booking the accomodation with complementary breakfast, the hotel people did'nt provide breakfast. They has written the same on the booking form. It seems as the information comes to them from hotels.com through expedia, they are not even aware of hotels.com. This is general info all hotels informed. Further, while the confirmation to the customer contains the facilities offered, the booking confirmation document does not contain these things. Also the least preferred room was allotted inspite of advance booking. Looks that hotels.com customers get least preference compared to direct or those booked directly on hotel website.

Staffs are friendly and helpful. Rooms are a bit old.
