Such a beautiful gem! The manager was incredibly attentive and went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. The rooms were cosy, and the food was absolutely amazing- one of the main reasons we chose this place, and it truly lived up to our expectations. Just a small heads-up: the rooms didn’t come with toiletries, so make sure to bring your own. Would definitely recommend! So glad we stayed here.

The garden around the property was tranquil. It was a lovely, peaceful area to relax in. Breakfast was delicious with lots of choice. The host and his family couldn't have been kinder or more helpful. They made our stay a real pleasure.

Absolutely perfect. I could not have found a better host anywhere. The room is clean and lovely. The garden is beautiful. The breakfast are just delicious. Mother is a really good cook and I had the best vegetable roll and potato and egg samosa i have tried anywhere. The host made us so welcome and helped us with everything. He did all the hard work for us! The driver is lovely too. I feel privileged to stay here and regret I cannot stay longer

Really nice room, very quiet and comfortable. WiFi was really good which is nice for a change! The owner is very helpful with organising trips. Best thing about this place was the food. Home cooked Sri Lankan breakfast and dinner was really amazing. A wide selection of dishes for each meal. Some of the tastiest meals I have in Sri Lanka.

It's an awesome experience, best resort kind with full of tropical trees and had awesome breakfast in middle of trees. My parents, partner everyone loved it. Highly recommended.

This property is set in gardens away from the main road in Habarana and yet near enough to walk to shops and restaurants. The spacious and comfortable rooms have a boutique feel with a lovely veranda to sit out on. It is the 5 star hospitality that really stands out however. Badula and his family made our stay special- First there was the wonderful, enormous Sri Lankan breakfast outside every morning, made by Badula's mother and wife. Then there was the tea and Sri Lankan snacks brought to our room on one of the afternoons of our stay. After that, there was the free tuk tuk to a local restaurant where Badula arranged for us to try typical Sri Lankan curries. We felt very spoilt! We would definitely recommend this special place.

This small guest house is a little gem not to be missed. This stylish planter style accommodation was only built 8 months ago and is a credit to our host. It is ideally situated in the heart of the cultural triangle. There is no need to book a driver in advance here as our hosts can either provide or arrange transport to the various sites of interest in the surrounding province. There is not an onsite restruant but our host provided free transport to local eateries. Sumptuous breakfast included in this amazing price. Although it says free airport transport this isn't not the case and is being amended by hotels.com. The host can arrange airport transport if contacted in advance for a reasonable price. I would definitely recommend this guest house to any traveller wanting a very low budget accommodation with style. Thank you Bandulla and family.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Winmi Resort. The host and his family were excellent hosts from the moment of arrival to our bittersweet departure. The room was large, clean, fully equipped and quiet. Wi-Fi and A/C worked great the entire stay. The breakfast was bountiful and delicious. Fresh fruit and juice from their garden. Homemade roti, samosas and eggs with the menu changing daily and many other western dishes available also. The host was very resourceful about transportation, restaurant recommendations, and any other needs. The location of the hotel is ideal, just a short walk to Habarana town. Habarana is not overrun with hotels or backpackers like some other places in the area. The locals are very friendly. The town is not too busy, a great place to exhale after your day's exploring in the Cultural Triangle. There are plenty of restaurants and stores just a 5 minute walk away. We travel a lot and we definitely highly recommend this hotel and plan on returning in the future.
