Very good reception with service mind.

The shower in our room did not work because the faucet was broken and the reception said it was the maintainence day off!!! They sent the hotel general staff to check with the tools but he could. It be able to fix it. We had to wait for almost 30 mins to get the room changed...wondering that the Swiss should be more capable to handle the customer since thhis country are world famous with the hotel study program. Anyway the room is fine a bit old but clean. I think this is the biggest hotel in town.

Staff courteous, well located. Breakfast generous though basic, and rooms large but basic / little tired. Linens and bathrooms clean.

Personal ist sehr nett! Zimmer (wir hatten Delux-Appartement) stank nach altem Rauch. Also sehr alte Zimmer! Bad war renoviert und top! Garage viel zu eng! zentrale lage das war nice! schöne Aussicht! HP nicht zu empfehlen! Schöner Spielplatz gerade gegenüber! Zusammengefasst: Das Hotel ist ok. Zusammengefasst

Amazing service at this hotel. We had the best experience and could not recommend enough! Amazing Mountain View and balcony, nice room, comfortable and the kindest most helpful staff. Great location close to the train station, everything is walkable and close. We hope to be back!

Second time in Engelberg, and a flying visit as wanted to go up the mountain, unfortunately the Titlis was a disgusting unsafe building site and we were there not even 5 mins, bad timing! The holiday safe bar two that were excellent were very poor … won’t safe here again

Excellent breakfast quality and available options. Large BF area, being constantly kept clean and tables cleared rapidly. Very efficient Breakfast staff.

If all you care about is having a clean place to stay, this is fine. However, if you want the restaurant and bar to be open when it’s supposed to be open, have your room cleaned and not have hotel staff force their way into your room yelling while you are naked do NOT stay here. To add more color, I was using the shower, the steam from the shower set off the fire alarm, we opened doors and windows it stopped within a minute. A few minutes later there was loud banging at the door, my partner opened it as I was naked. A member of the hotel staff was there yelling “What are you burning in the room?” My partner said it was steam from the shower, the staff yelled let me in and my partner said it’s the shower, she is naked. Ignoring this, the staff member forced his way in and I yelled “it was the shower” holding a hand towel in front of my naked body. He then abruptly left, said nothing, no apology. Then, within a minute another person started banging on our door (recall the alarm is no longer going off and had not been for several minutes). This person tried to force their way into our room as well but when told it was shower steam just yelled “you cannot shower with the door open” at us and left. I have never experienced such terrible treatment from hotel staff in my life, I will never return. The lack of an apology is unacceptable and if fire detectors are that sensitive a warning needs to be given. A stranger forcing their way into my room while I’m naked is what I’ll remember

We just want to thank the staff for the upgrade and nice accommodations. The view from our room is breathtaking. Buffet breakfast every morning was awesome, lots of options of hot and cold dishes. Happy to come and stay here again. We appreciate your kindness and wonderful service.
