I stayed at ibis Genève Centre Lac during my trip to Geneva and, overall, I was very happy with my stay. For the price I paid, I thought it offered excellent value for money.
One of the biggest advantages is the location. It’s conveniently located not far from Geneva Airport with excellent public transport connections, and the free Geneva Transport Card was a fantastic bonus. Most of the city’s main tourist attractions were within walking distance or just a short tram ride away, making it an ideal base for exploring Geneva.
The room itself was spacious, clean and comfortable. It’s worth noting that the rooms are fairly basic and don’t include many amenities. For example, there isn’t a kettle in the room, although hot water and a kettle are available in the lobby. The bathroom is also on the smaller side, and I noticed the room door didn’t have a peephole or an additional security lock. None of these were deal-breakers for me, especially considering the price, but they’re worth knowing before you book.
As with any city, I’d recommend using a little caution if returning to the hotel late at night. I personally had no problems during my stay.
Before booking, I had originally planned to stay at the nearby Novotel, which is only around a five-minute walk away. After staying at the ibis, I think it was a great choice if you’re looking for a clean, comfortable hotel in a central location without paying higher prices for extra facilities.
Overall, I would happily stay here again
Very good experience at this hotel. Everything was clean and comfortable, and the staff was very friendly. Especially Sina, who stood out for being so attentive and kind. I would definitely come back!
Easy base for a stay in Geneva and the surrounding area.
Short walk from the station. Close to restaurants and the lake.
Rooms are not big, but just fine for a longer weekend.
We were lucky to be able to check in early. Otherwise there are luggage storage facility on site.
Did not have breakfast so cannot comment on that.
All in all very happy with our stay and would come back if in Geneva.
