Great property on the quiet side of the island. The owner and staff were wonderful and the food in the restaurant amazing. If you are looking for the party scene stay on the other side of the island.

An excellent hotel in all ways. Beautiful location, stunning views from the beachfront rooms, lovely food and the best and most helpful hotel owner you could hope to find. Nothing is too much trouble at this resort , and prices are very reasonable. Visiting Amber Sands and the east coast is like going back in time in Thailand. If you're looking for a friendly, laid back resort with the option to have everything arranged easily for you by the hotel , this is the place for you. So stop searching, believe me you won't regret booking this hotel.

An ideal retreat to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life on the mainland. From check in to check out our hosts Simon and Sar made us feel at home. Highly recommended as a great location and base to explore the island from.

Når man tjekker ind her så ryger pulsen ned, her er så stille og roligt at man ikke kan andet end at slappe af.. fine bungalows og skøn udsigt fra deres Beach bungalow, hvor vi boede. Servicen er i top og personalet er super sødt og er gode til at holde sig i baggrunden.. ejeren ø, Simon, er super hjælpsom og assistere med billeje, gode råd mm

Very nice place to stay, clean, nice staff and good food.

The perfect place to relax and enjoy sea, beach and wonderful thai food. Its located on the east-coast of koh chang, which is the calm side and you can't really reach some other places except the serenity resort and a restaurant by foot. Which is absolutely no problem as the food in the resort is great and we did enjoy every single dish we ordered. The red sand beach is nice and well maintained (being raked every morning), you got to walk a bit into the sea to swim (especially at low tide), and should search for the best "lane" to get in inbetween of some stones, but this is not a problem even for children (they should wear bathingshoes anyways). Sunbeds are available on the beach as well as at the pool. The pool isnt huge but easily big enough the cool down and sufficientfor the only 9 (!!) rooms of the resort; it also offers a separated shallow childrens pool. Breakfast is a'la carte, normal thai pricing (like the full menu) and very delicious and you can order it the whole day. The owners (Simon from UK and his thai wife and family) and staff are extraordinary friendly, especially our 3yrs old son did enjoy their hospitality a lot (and i think they did have fun with him too ;) The room is offering all you need: enough room, good bed, fridge, bathroom w/ shower, A/C and it's very clean. All in all it was a great place to relax and enjoy thailand with the family at it's best!

L’Amber beach est tenu par un couple absolument charmant! Ce que vous voulez, ils vous l’organisent avec gentillesse, ce que vous rêvez, ils vous l’exaucent avec ingéniosité, Ce à quoi vous n’avez même pas encore imaginé, ils vous le proposent! L’hôtel est charmant, calme et à taille humaine... 8 chambres! Le cadre est sympa, la piscine très agréable. Deux choses pourraient passer pour des bémols, l’absence de Sunset que leur Sunrise compense largement et une plage qui peut être minimaliste au grès des marées... C’est probablement le prix à payer pour le grand calme et la sérénité magique de l’endroit. Cerise sur le gâteau et au risque de me répéter, l’équipe est charmante et la nourriture délicieuse, fraîche et de bonne qualité. En un mot, une adresse à partager...(mais pas trop, qu’avec les meilleurs amis^^)

Amber Sands is without any doubts amazing place with the most helpfull owners and staff, located on East side of Koh Chang means that there are hardly any people around which is great if you are not party type:-)...than go rather on opposite side. Accommodation is perfect, clean, big enough with everything you need, pool is great with enough sea beds, restaurant is excellent - there are three restaurants on this beach but Amber Sands restaurant is the best one. Beach is nice altough not the white sand Maldives beach...rather gold sand with stones in water. Massages right on the beach are easy to recommend as they are as well very good for 400-450. The only negatives we found were some small problems with transport on East side of Island as most of the Songthaews are going only on west part and annoying early morning noise from centerpoint ferry and local fishing boats. Otherwise everything was 5star.

Pool, beach, excellent thai food and fresh. Extra info via e-mail fast and informative. Great service, quiet place which we were looking for as we started our trip after 24h traveling 😊 very very relaxing also with our 1 year old. Lots of sand play things, no sand flyes, free kayak and sub-board. Thank you.

Everything was perfect I strongly recommend this resort , next to a wonderful beach delicious food , wonderful bungalows , very nice people, always ready to help you In a very quiet place of the island , but still not far from the west coast of the island if you need anything or want to go to a night market to get inexpensive food The best resort we found in Koh Chang Good prices in November

Fantastic stay for two nights in November 2018, everything was perfect.. tidy, clean, beautiful gardens and surroundings, friendly staff and equipment (paddle boards and kayaks) free to use.

Amber Sands är rena paradiset. Vacker miljö, mysiga rum och superbra mat i den fantastiska restaurangen. Simon och hans personal gör allt för att man skall ha det så bra som möjligt. Kan bara rekommenderas!

The resort's on the quieter side of Koh Chang, which is exactly what we were looking for. There are three small resorts spread along the beach, and it never feels busy. The bungalows face towards the sea and are set in a semicircle around the pool. Our bungalow was comfortable, spacious and spotlessly clean with both air con and a fan. The bed was king size and comfy. There's a swimming pool, and free-to-use kayaks and some beach toys for the kids. The restaurant's good - both properly tasty Thai food and some good western options. And some cracking cocktails! Finally, Simon and the staff were welcoming and very helpful, and made us feel right at home We had a great time, and would happily go back

Mycket avkopplande, vi bodde 2 nätter i Beachhouse room downstairs med stranden utanför. Ingen Tv på rummet. Wifi funkade klockrent. Frukost ingår ej utan det får man köpa separat. Mycket vänlig personal som tog hand om allt så man skulle trivas.
