SALA Rattanakosin Bangkok

Sala Rattanakosin is a beautiful, boutique hotel. We originally went to have dinner and were able to secure a room as well. The view is unbeatable -- to look across the river while eating and see Wat Arun is breathtaking. The rooms are wonderful and provide you with all that you need. The staff is outstanding; you won't find kinder people. I highly recommend Sala Rattanakosin.

Absolutly amazing view and really helpful staff. But there are rats between the walls and inner ceiling. The room are smelly! Breakfast is really good but few option to choose. The rooftop restaurant and bar are great. The food is top 10. Too expensive room with that standard.

We’ve been to Sala a few times now and it’s been great every time.

Good location. Very nice, comfortable room. Had to pay for mediocre breakfast. No elevator if that matters to you.

The views and location could not be better. Staff was lovely. Will return and recommend particularly for tourists wanting to see top sites.

Great staff

Don't be discouraged by the kind of hidden entrance, this hotel was everything we wanted for our stay. The area is super walkable and in close proximity to several docks, shops, restaurants, and temples. The rooms are large, very clean, and had STUNNING views of Wat Arun and Wat Pho. The staff was very kind and accommodating- answering every question we had. All of this would have made for a lovely stay but the standout was the food. We had breakfast every morning here and at first we planned it just based on convenience but it quickly became some of the best food we ate while in Bangkok. The restaurant for dinner was also incredible, without a single bad dish, and the rooftop bar's drinks were delicious. Would absolutely stay here again and recommend to anyone traveling to Bangkok (especially for dinner!!).

Das Hotel war außergewöhnlich schön. Das Personal hat wirklich überragende Arbeit geleistet und war stets sehr aufmerksam. Ganz klare Empfehlung wer etwas Luxus zum guten Preis möchte. Das Essen im Hotel war total lecker und extrem hochwertig.

Really enjoyed our stay. The staff is incredibly kind and accommodating. It’s in a great location too being adjacent to wat pho and across the river from wat arun. Access to piers was convenient. Would have loved a softer bag and if the balcony area could be finished. Would recommend others to stay here. Definitely try the rooftop bar and the breakfasts.

A boutique hotel for a family trip. It was the second time my husband stayed there. We received a bottle of sparkling wine on arrival as returned guests; it was a nice gift. The entire hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was awesome and tasty. We had a 6am flight on departure day, and the restaurant prepared box breakfast for us to take, how considerate!! The hotel is comfortable and large enough for two people. Some facilities might not be as compatible with brand name hotels in downtown Bangkok, but the location is unbeatable. The hotel restaurant is at the waterfront overlooking the iconic Wat Arun temple, which is across the river. Wat Pho, the Temple of the Reclining Buddha, is across the street from the hotel, and the ferry terminal is 4 minutes’ walk. The ferry ride to the ICONSIAM Mall is amazing, quite an experience. I can’t say enough how joyful it is to stay in this hotel and in this area; you have to see it yourself.

Staff are excellent! So kind, helpful, friendly, flexible….they genuinely want you to be happy and satisfied. All staff are this way. They were so nice, I hated to ask them to do anything! I wanted to do things for them. The food for breakfast was absolutely delicious…aroi mak mak. So fresh and yummy with all the right Thai touches. Our only complaint was the door in the room that alternates between closing in the shower and closing in the toilet. It’s awkward, but we would stay here again in a heartbeat! We loved Sala. A tip: have dinner during sunset and watch them light up Wat Arun directly across the Chao Phraya River. It is stunning!
