This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had and completely ruined the start of my trip. When I arrived to check in, I was told my room was no longer available due to an alleged “insect issue.” This explanation felt suspicious, and I later discovered the real reason was that my prepaid room had been given to someone else. Instead of being honest or taking responsibility, the staff used this excuse to cover up what appeared to be an overbooking situation. Rather than placing me in a comparable or upgraded hotel, they moved me to a different property down the street that was clearly inferior. The hotel I originally booked cost $88 per night, yet the replacement hotel was listed online for around $45 per night, reflecting the drastic downgrade in quality. The room smelled terrible, was poorly maintained, the shower was broken, and the bed was extremely uncomfortable. It was run down and not even remotely comparable to what I paid for. When I complained and asked for assistance, the staff and management were dismissive and unhelpful. The manager openly said he “didn’t care” and insisted that they had fulfilled their obligation simply by giving me any room, even though it was a completely different and substandard hotel. To make matters worse, the hotel repeatedly ignored Expedia’s phone calls and refused to cooperate in resolving the issue. The only reason this situation was resolved at all is because Expedia protected me as a customer. This experience was terrible.

The hot tub and sauna were nice and quiet. Rooms were, in general, nice and clean, albeit cosy. Ordering food on room service took over an hour. Aircon is feeble, and if you have the windows open to make the room a manageable temperature, you'll be woken up multiple times by people arguing/talking loudly in the courtyard, or the cleaning team starting at the crack of dawn. In their defence, there is a nice lady coming around at breakfast (which has a nice selection,) asking about any issues and working to solve them.

The restaurant has a casual ‘Istanbul’ vibe. Great breakfast buffet.

C’est le plus mauvais hôtel où j’ai séjourné à İstanbul. À l’arrivée, lavabo qui fuit, télévision qui ne fonctionne pas, une seule serviette de toilette, et une forte odeur de canalisation. Seul le lavabo a été réparé, mais l’odeur est restée. De plus, pendant le séjour, impossible de fermer une des lampes de la chambre, restée allumée toute la nuit. Tous les jours, j’ai demandé à la réception de résoudre ces problèmes mais ils n’ont rien fait. J’ajoute que le petit déjeuner est correct sans plus, et que l’hôtel est fréquenté par des personnes qui parlent fort dans les couloirs quelle que soit l’heure. Seul point positif: la femme de ménage qui essaie d’entretenir correctement les chambres. Établissement à éviter.

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great and the hotel was local to metro and many shops.

The view made it worth it. Cleanliness was sub par, and the person who helped us get a shuttle told the driver the wrong airport. We caught it before we got all the way to SAW thankfully, or else we would have missed out flight out of IST. The place also advertised it included airconditioning when it did not. There was also a huge cockroach in the pool area. But man.. the view is incredible that is undeniable.

Bra läge till kollektivtrafik på trevlig gata och område. Hotellet i sämre skick då tex duschslang och toarullehållare inte fungerade. Extremt varmt i det lilla rummet med dålig ventilation som inte gick att reglera och ingen frisk luft gick att få då fönster var ut till en innergård. Litet spa erbjuds men den ”turkiska bastun” hade nästan ingen värme.

Overall the stay was good. The hotel is in good location close to shops and lovely bars and restaurants. The breakfast was limited.
