Excellent host at front desk!

We always enjoy or stay here at the Pelican Inn. Manager provides amazing customer service and she even remembered me after only staying with them once, months ago. Booked a room with a fireplace this time and it was warm, quiet, and relaxing. Exactly what we needed. Definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing stay at a great price.

The room was clean and comfortable. Only contact with staff was at chek in. I made it clear to check ickerk that I didnt like or feel comfortabke prividing a credit card and drivers lucence at check in, Especislly since I prepaid for the room.

The owner was very friendly, which set the tone for our stay, and recommended us a nearby pizza place (Pizza at Heart) that was so good we went twice! In the deluxe king room the fireplace was lovely, the bed was comfortable, and everything was very clean. Wasn’t exactly soundproof but still peaceful. Roomy, home-like, and a wonderful price for its value. Will stay again! Thank you! :)

The price was good and the service was awesome. Power went out several times in the morning and it came back quickly the first 2 times but by the third time it just never turned back on so I just went ahead and checked out by 8 am

Good for the price

Rooms are dated but very clean and well kept. The woman at the front desk (I’m assuming was the manager), was very friendly, and made sure I had everything I needed for my stay. Walkable distance to the shopping mall, wharf, and dining.

The room was very clean, comfortable, and very quiet. The overall appearance of the Inn was nice as well. Well taken care of. I enjoyed having a room fireplace and made use of it with some Duraflame logs purchased at Home Depot. On the downside, the room TV volume is locked to go no higher than 10 on a 0 to 100 range. I could barely hear it from the bed. Struck me as a little too much management nannying. As a former aviator, my hearing is far from perfect. This seemed pretty petty. Also, the shower barely had any pressure, which was only exacerbated by the 'water saver' shower head. Likewise. the 'water saver' toilet could not handle regular 'deposits'; I finally just purchased my own plunger while over at Home Depot. I'd opine that the bathrooms all need an overhaul for these issues. Lastly, I arrived about 50 minutes ahead of check in time at 3 PM and asked if I could drop of my luggage in the room. They demanded a $39 "early check in" fee; a first for me. Struck me as odd for someone in the hospitality industry. They should treat customers as guests, not marks. Also, they demanded to scan my drivers license and credit card into their computer. Never had that done before either. I almost refused and went elsewhere. Having been the victim of attempted identity theft, the thought of strangers with copies of what are essentially my identity documents worried me, especially on their basic motel computer system.

Good Location. Clean. Quiet. Parking however was limited.

I have stayed there before it’s located near the mall as well as restaurants and shops near the sea.

This was a adequate clean, and friendly motel. It is dated and the upstairs flooring is uneven (you can feel the age of the hotel). The bed, sheets, and pillows were fresh, clean and comfortable. Would stay again for a good price.

This is my go to stay when in the area for work. It’s a cute property with wonderful staff. Great place to stay that’s close to everything without being in a busy area of town.

The heater wasn’t working, neither the hot water, the room was really cold at night and the cleaning was sloppy, but the office guy was very nice
