The rooms were sparely furnished, the furniture was scuffed/had pen marks on them. Also we got body wash & conditioner, but not shampoo….

Um hotel simples, mas com um quarto bem grande para os padrões de Nova York, mas o ponto forte é a localização do hotel, e a melhor possível. Eu recomendo demais esse hotel.

It was crazy to read some of bad reviews of this place beforehand and it had me a bit nervous before I booked, but was looking for a budget friendly hotel for 5 days in the city and wanted one in this area, so I took the chance. It was phenomenal! The room was incredibly generous with its size for NYC, including a small couch table and chair, plus desk, fridge, safe and wardrobe closet. Nice size bathroom as well. Bed & furniture were very comfy and the views were outstanding. There were other reviews saying problems with : heat, cable tv, no towels - I did not encounter any of these issues at all. All staff encountered during my stay were friendly, helpful and polite - but especially Jonathon who was so welcoming and made my stay even better. I stayed on the 15th floor, corner room King suite and would recommend! There is a lounge one the 4th floor, room 412, that offers vending machines and a few couches & bathroom. Entrance is marked by ‘8 Herald Square’ & glass doors have hotel name on them. This entrance is shared with Monarch bar which is separate elevator, that offers food drinks and a breathtaking rooftop view of the city. The lobby is small, but check in/out was efficient, plus security present. $2 per bag luggage hold which was fantastic as well as i had a late flight out. I will definitely stay here on my next visit! Amazing bargain for the quality of hotel!

This hotel was perfect for a one night stay when the only time we were in the hotel was to sleep. I would'nt take an extended trip here.

I love how closed to everything it was. Staff was great providing extra blankets, since our rooms heater was not working properly.

The best thing about the hotel is its location, literally next to the station to take any of the yellow or orange lines. It is close to the main stations such as Penn Station and Grand Central. It is not a luxurious hotel, but it is comfortable and very well located. The lobby staff is very friendly and helpful.

Basic hotel that met our one night stay needs. Some things were lacking... Charge to leave bags after check, no yissues in the room, pillows were flat and when we asked for extras they were not available, only trash can was in the bathroom, shower curtain is too short so no matter how careful we were the floor got soaked

Staff was generous and helpful. Room was simple and sufficient. Was close to everything we needed to get to. Would absolutely stay here again.

The location is perfect. Right next to the subway, the walk to Times Square is not too far, Macy’s and other stores are also very close. The property was hit and miss. Staying there during winter I was grateful to have a working air conditioner that allowed for both cool and hot air. The servicing of the room was inconsistent - sometimes clean thoroughly sometimes not. Would I stay here again, I probably would. The overall experience was great, same as the location. It’s just that the consistency on the upkeep of the property could be worked on.

Ótima localização, banheiro e quarto limpos. Estrutura do hotel antiga e mau conservada. Pelo valor diante de outros hotéis em Nova York, foi ok.

Out of the three hotels I’ve stayed in. This was the most convenient hotel! Right next to time square and koreatown. It was the best place to be if you were looking to shop and eat. Staff was also super nice! The room was not as modern as I’m use to but we had an excellent view!! 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking to stay near time square.

Loved it here ! They posted my review on the wrong hotel ! This hotel helped ! After the first took all our money and was nonexistent!

The location was great, we could walk to a lot of the places we want to go and there was a subway station right outsided The staff was very kind and understanding and made our stay wonderful. I would stay here again when we come to NY.

Did not like: phones were not working through the entire week that I stayed there had to go downstairs whenever I needed something, housekeeping didn’t even change my sheets after they serviced my room. Also, I asked for another blanket because it was so cold and the staffed questioned me why I needed more and how many people were in my room. If I asked for a blanket I should be able to get one no questions asked. Also, if you plan to sleep early, do not stay in the 17th floor, you can hear the music from the rooftop bar all night.
