We were very impressed with the Lion Hotel in Criccieth. It is in a great position with plenty of parking. It is a traditional character hotel, clean, well maintained and decorated with lovely staff. It was also great value, would recommend as a base to explore the beautiful Llyn Peninsula.

Nice pub/hotel in Criccieth. A small seaside town, just outside Porthmadog, but without the crowds. Good size car park and public transport, if you wish to have acar free day.

It was ok but the room was a little bit tired, and a bit cold overnight. There was a very cold draft coming in the bathroom window which wasn’t well sealed. .
The restaurant closed at 3pm on a Sunday (presumably because of very low season) but we managed to find somewhere to eat nearby. Everything was clean and the staff we saw were very pleasant.

Lady on checkout was lovely. The lady that checked myself in not so lovely. I complained about pressure of shower and has been noted as was due to being in the top floor room. Breakfast was lovely but the overall hotel needs a modernisation but is clean and tidy.

Decent hotel - typical old hotel building that's been progressively modernized.
The staff are friendly, the breakfast was good, and the room was comfortable - if small. I'd be happy to stay here again.

The hotel is pleasant but rather old fashioned, with narrow stairs and corridors. There's a small lift which requires some effort to open the door. The breakfast was good and the room was clean. Car park was crowded.

Old fashioned hotel- needs an update. Shower so small couldn’t wash my legs! Furniture in public areas old fashioned so giving no warm feeling to the hotel at all. Food and staff good

Great stay, good location to explore the area.
Free parking, good Wi-Fi, good breakfast.
The bed was a a little soft but personal preference. The hotel had everything we needed for a comfy family stay.
Staff were also all very pleasant. Would definitely stay again.

Nice place, nice room, bathroom and bedding, breakfast great, stored my bicycle locked away overnight which was great, shame there was no food in the evening
